ahh thank you!! that’s connolly, she’s my oldest oc of that bunch and probably why she feels the most “fleshed out” compared to the other 2 haha.. this isnt her “default” outfit but originally she’s my punishing gray raven commandant (mc) oc so i put a Lot more thought in designing her to sorta suit the source material setting..so yea she definitely intentionally has that Main Character Energy LOL

i think observing how other people stylize and interpret dramatic angles can be pretty helpful, but honestly there’s no shortcut to just learning anatomy haha. a lot of those posable doll/model tools can be extremely helpful for basically doing most of the guesswork for you if you have the patience to learn how to use them, if not real photos for reference. doing it enough times like that and you’ll sorta just learn the way things bend and look!

hi thank you! i’ve considered timelapses before but unfortunately i get like. stage fright recording my canvas and end up not being able to come up with anything to draw lol… as for improving, for me personally if im drawing something its a lot easier for me to start with the character(s) as my focus and i build a piece around them! i struggle trying to come up with bgs and compositions as a whole a lot but i can sorta break it down better by just starting with a character pose and going from there
