Give and Take

A Big Hero 6 fan from CTN2014 for a penny (1979). There were way too many business cards in the bowl.

A large tote bag for a glow in the dark headband thingy. Two weeks ago, my friend Sam gave me a pen to place in the Give and Take bowl when I asked for something I could use for the project. After our lunch, and as we were about to part at Glen Park station she said, "I lied, I do have something better than the pen. Here, take this tote bag, it's my favorite. I'm sure someone will need it."

Umm, so I forgot to stop by the Exploratorium before heading down to Menlo Park earlier today. I won't be back in SF till tomorrow. :(

A VHS of Jan Pinkava's Geri's Game for a hair tie. Helped a friend in Fremont move from 10am to 5pm, so didn't get to exchange at the Exploratorium till 6:30.

Day 25 of 365 At CTN. #NerdCorps Recruiter: "In that case, take this too so you can use it in the project." :) Love that she wanted to give more things than the ones I had requested.

Day 24 of 365 At CTN. "Hi. I know I can't work in Canada, but can I still take these magnets? I'm doing a project called 'Give and Take'...."  The awesome #NerdCorps recruiter was happy to help.

Didn't know what to do with the rage and frustration, so I decided to write Black Lives Matter several hundred times. It was great to see one of the Explainers (title of exhibit explainers at the Exploratorium) wearing a giant poster of Mike Brown, with the words "Black Lives Matter," while working.

Time to give away my swag from the animation expo (CTN). A Blue Sky pin for a $25 ticket to Dickens Fair 2014.

My coworker Allison helped out once again. She took this hand wipe for the trade today.

My coworker Allison has been awesome and helpful by giving and taking while I'm out of town this weekend. She texted me images of Friday's and Saturday's takes yesterday.

I'm down in Burbank this weekend, so I asked my coworkers to place my things in the Give and Take table. Also, all three things this weekend will be drawing related because I'm down here for an animation expo (CTN).

Rushing to meet my friend Sam for lunch, I forgot my "give" at home. Luckily, she had several pens in her bag and wanted to contribute to the project. There were a couple nice children's books in the Give an Take bowl today, but I left them for toddlers who'd appreciate them.

It was either the almond or receipts, so I went with the almond.
