Basically the first writing of it's kind that I'm posting. Feedback is always appreciated. 😌 Aftershock Someone tell me what joyous tragedy brought you to me. Emotions I can't put into words fill my body, Clawing at my insides to escape. They know that my wrecked body isn't their home, And once my emotions fall lower than the poverty line, You'll be evicted from my life. This conceptual fear can't run my life, it can only ruin it. The glass house we've built up will shatter from a slight breeze, Reducing to a powdered nothingness washed away by waves of regret. Though this initial break is only the beginning of what's to come, The real damage comes with the aftershock.
