So, I got in a car wreck on January 10th and was hit twice on the passenger side..
where me and my brother were sitting.
He’s injured his rotator Cuff and is on a PT wait list, then if that doesn’t work they’ll try surgery on his arm to see if that fixes his issues.
The thing is, he’s got SSI disability and insurance thru that. I don’t have any insurance and have to pay out of pocket for everything.
The EMT’s also never showed up to the wreck after waiting for 2 hours because due to the winter storm them and the cops were backed up with wrecks and crashes. Even a state trooper had an accident.
So after Two hours my Mom picked us up and we went home. My brother went in to the Dr , while I had to wait for my next paycheck and schedule a visit with the family health clinic they have set up for lower incomes.
I’m finally getting seen February 11th. Since it was the soonest available appointment slot my dr had open. So I should know what’s wrong them. Or at least have a referral to get a MRI or something.
The only problem is, since I don’t have insurance everything has to come out of my pocket and if I can’t afford it….
Which is pretty awful since I hurt my right arm bad and had brutal pain in my back and neck for like 2 weeks after.
The neck pain has about cleared up now though. But my arm’s worse. I have very weak grip strength in my right hand (I’m right handed) and I’m better with my left at the moment.
