i truly just... feel such a strong love and devotion to marion lavorre. 

especially in the last few years, i’ve really struggled with my mental health, and after the way last year was, my anxiety and depression coupled up in a way that has made it really, really hard for me to leave my home at all. i don’t pretend i’m struggling nearly as badly as people with agoraphobia, but... 

there’s something so relieving to watch marion be this strong, smart, compassionate, funny, bright woman, and know that she struggles in similar ways that i do. its beautiful to watch matt craft her into this breathtaking woman, not ignoring her issues, but not making them the only parts of her. her love and devotion to her daughter, the way that jester was raised and the things that brings about, all hit so close to home for me on a personal level. my own trek through motherhood has been... a struggle and a joy, all at once.
