Mulder and Langly do Not get along when it's just the two of them because Langly is very proudly and vocally a massive nerd whereas Mulder refuses to admit how much of a loser he is so the two of them chafe and argue all the time when it's just the two of them together

Mulder and Byers both get too fixated on a case once it gets going and so the amount they'd be willing to put themselves on the line + the measures they'd be willing to take would just escalate to a dangerous level. It happened once and Scully had to intervene before they both dropped dead from exhaustion
