Hyping up my guy Millingdale ice cream. With their pea flavoured ice cream and jingle that sounds suspiciously similar to Doomsday from Doctor Who.
Millingdale ice creamâŚ.
Do you recognize this TV theme song? #742
I know this and can name the series
I know this but can't name the series
I might know this
I've never heard this

Book Twenty-Seven: The Blue Angel
Paul Magrs & Jeremy Hoad, 1999
Injury Tally:
Chapter four
The obverse-Doctor has a âfunny turnâ while at a lunch with Sally, feeling a sudden pain in his left leg and passing out briefly. When he wakes, itâs numb from the knee down
Chapter eighteen
Just after itâs accomplished its purpose, the Doctorâs new doodad explodes and scorches his hands a bit
Chapter twenty five
Caught in the wake of an assault on the glass city, the Doctor is covered from head to toe in cuts from broken glass
Chapter twenty six
The obverse-Doctorâs leg continues to worsen, painful and swollen, and he describes feeling something moving inside; a parasite, growing, nestling
Chapter thirty three
A Bright Blue Baby grabs the Doctor by the (left) leg, and he feels its left a mark
Chapter forty one
The obverse-Doctor continues to experience pains in his leg
Chapter forty three
Convinced to go starkers out in the midst of the winter night chill, the obverse-Iris declares that whatâs growing in the Doctorâs leg must be let out, and cuts his calf open with an icicle to pry it out, and then offers to go back inside and sew him up
Book Twenty-Eight: The Taking of Planet 5
Simon Bucher-Jones & Mark Clapham, 1999
Injury Tally:
Chapter three
The doctor shoves them all to the ground as he recognises the firing of a parallel cannon. His fall is cushioned by Fitz, though, so unclear if he got any bumps or bruises - but Fitz describes his eyes as stinging from a bright light, so we can assume the Doc got flashbombed too
Chapter seven
The Doctor bruises his wrist slapping an elder thing-shaped time lord soldier on the back(???) and yells himself hoarse
Chapter nine
He ends up nearly getting hit by some sort of energy weapon from the baseâs self defence mechanisms, but only ends up with lightly scorched hairs on his hand
Then, struck with blind panic, he takes off running resulting in him bolting face first into a wall, scraping his hands when he catches himself. His higher senses seem on the fritz, and he worries heâs going mad, panicked and nauseous, and then proceeds to faint(?) while chanting to himself
Chapter ten
Captured by the elder-thing-time lords (and a celestis agent in disguise in particular), the Doctor gets strapped to a table and interrogated via elder thing technology. Itâs described as âcell destroyingâ, and it feeds on his blood to determine truthfulness and exerts pain upon him. The narration describes pools of blood and his lips âshreddingâ
Chapter eleven
After some of the above torture, Investigator One attempts to probe the Doctorâs mind directly. This backfires spectacularly on him, and the Doctor manages to get off the Torture Stone (with a âwet sucking soundâ), though heâs described as bruised and bloodied all over from the experience
Chapter twelve
Upon finding an old celestis artefact, the Doctor immediately sticks his hands inside. It âlooks like it hurtsâ, and the colour of it seems to be infecting his hands as he pushes them in and is spreading up his wrists, but he describes it as âjustâ awful pins and needles as his blood supply in his hands is âfading in and outâ. When he pulls his hands out, theyâre fully blue and mottled, and he tries to warm them up frantically
Chapter seventeen
Trying to avoid a disaster, the Doctor sticks himself inside a blob of avulsed TARDIS matter (âjellyâ) and experiences the fringes of its agony. While in there, he begins to get a little delirious from oxygen starvation and pain
And then he breaks his left wrist, on purpose.
Then, when all else fails, he plugs himself directly into the rebel TARDISâ telepathic circuits and hurls abuse at it in hopes of making it go against his faux demands, resulting in him taking the full force of its hatred, anger and pain directly to the brain
Chapter nineteen
By now, heâs very heroically curled up in a foetal position and whimpering on the floor with a massive headache. The rebel TARDISes do, however, heal his wrist. But in the wake of an attack launched on The Predator, the inside of the TARDIS heâs in is filled with mercury vapour and carbon dioxide, and other such pleasant things, not to mention that the TARDIS is dying, which will strand him unprotected in outer space
Chapter twenty
After the rebel TARDIS dies, the Doctor is exposed to outer space unprotected for circa twelve minutes, sustained only by trace amounts of oxygen that his respiratory bypass system could process for a limited period of time. Chilled and subjected to the radiation present in outer space, the Doctor is described as âliterally cracking a smileâ when heâs rescued by Fitz. He seems to be recovering once heâs been brought in, though heâs still limping and in need of some rest
