I am captivated by these two.

The expressions on their faces when they’re looking at each other are incomparable. There’s this genuine warmth and love in their eyes. They truly care about each other so, so much.

And it’s not that they don’t care for other people. It’s just that no one means as much to Evie as Mal does and no one means as much to Mal as Evie does. Evie is her best friend, and Mal is Evie’s best friend. They’ve been through everything together. They lived in torture together. It was with the boys, too, and I feel that the boys mean more to them than most people, but there’s something with Mal and Evie. Those two girls could understand each other on a level that a boy can’t exactly understand a girl. They could feel what the other felt because they were girls, and being a girl sometimes transcends the basic feelings of humanity altogether. The same could be said for the boys. 

These two have such a bond that is so incredible and so unrivaled. I have watched so many movies and TV shows, and never have I seen two best friends so connected, so in-sync, and so loving of each other. Mal would literally do anything for Evie, and Evie would do literally anything for Mal. 

When Mal sees Evie, that’s her person, and when Evie sees Mal, that’s her person. They each belong to each other in a way that ninety-nine percent of people will never understand. 

Sure, Mal’s married to Ben and she loves him romantically, but Evie is something altogether different. Mal doesn’t love Evie romantically at all, but there is something there that runs so deep that, in my opinion at least, makes those two the most important to one another.

Personally, I believe that soulmates don’t have to be romantic. You can have a soulmate, a person that just so perfectly fits you inside and out, and the relationship with that soulmate not be romantic, sexual, or anything of the sort. In my opinion, these two are soulmates. Mal and Evie are soulmates. Not the romantic kind, but rather a sisterly best friend pair of soulmates because they understand each other in a way that nobody else ever will understand the two of them.

They mean the world to one another. Mal loves Evie with all of her heart, and Evie loves Mal with all of hers.
