'Dont't wait too long to be brave'

for people who asked and anyone else interested in catching up with a show that has been on hiatus for literally 2 years. Before season 6 starts “soon” (whenever that is), here’s a rundown of the Proudmans and their honorary family members:

Nina, Neens, light of my life: Excellent doctor. Rambling bundle of nerves. Has a beautiful kid named Zoe and loves her family the most. Tends to hold everyone together and then fall apart, but she’s working on it.  

Jimmy and Zara: Started as friends with benefits and ended up married with two kids. He took a decade-long gap year and then accidentally started a wildly successful taco shop empire. She is the Proudman family bullshit detector and just aced the GAMSAT. #Goals.

Billie: World’s coolest aunt and an amazing sister to Nina and Jimmy. Still trying to figure her life out. The most beautiful character development.  Mick: Justin Bieber of inner-urban Melbourne. Loves dogs. Spends half his time on tour and another 10% styling his hair. 

Darcy, Phillip, and Geraldine: Proudman parents. They played relationship musical chairs for a minute, or several decades. This screencap is an accurate summary of their entire dynamic, but that could change soon (dun dun dun). 

Lovely Leo: Male nurse and the hospital crew’s newest fav. Super into talking about feelings. Gathered up all his eye crinkles and courage to tell Nina he loves her at the end of season 5. May or may not stick around [cold sweat emoji]. 

Martin Clegg, PhD: Regularly auditions for the role of well-adjusted human being. Makes terrible jokes and puts on an accent. On/off with Cherie. “Martin YES.” 

Cherie and Kim: Cherie is the queen of kindness and goodness. She sparked the series by having Darcy’s baby (this show has a lot of babies). Kim is a no nonsense international hero who named her daughter Stella Artois. The best best friends. “Martin NO.”
