first time drawing empires au bread in red!! i rejoice!! (The colors on that outfit are mostly based off a magma cube but like. brighter. i didnt realize how much of the uber dark red i cut out until just now my bad. he was meant to be more magma cube i swear) i mentioned a while ago drawing them in clothes from each others kingdoms and this is what i had in mind. also dances. picturnig one of them picking an outfit for the other and then touring him around and teaching him about their traditions and taking him dancing and then they switch.. do we see the vision. i just really like thinking about them learning about each others worlds its very fun and cute and im gonna kill them <3

this was supposed to just be a warmup doodle before a diffrent drawing but i got sidetracked #iloverendering

i'll also just settle for like any cute story about them tbh

giggling and kicking my feet VIOLENTLY (/gen, kicked my blanket off just now). i’m so glad you like them that makes me sooo freaking happy HEHEHEE

mmm okay so how they met!! this might change at some point, it was originally something different, i change my mind a lot. but they’d meet because of a tournament Bread’s kingdom hosts that Banana ends up partaking in as a fun little test (the fortress likes putting banana through trials to make sure he’s still fit to be their ‘prince’/eventual ruler.)

the tournament is pretty much just a bunch of fights i think, there might be some like knowledge puzzles or other things in there as well not sure. but the victor (banana, of course, #plot relevance) earns the ice spike king and queens blessing to court (and ideally marry) their daughter! which is bread! (not out to the kingdom atp.) (side note this whole tournment style thing is based on the fact that male reindeer will fight eachother over girls during mating season n whatnot. and since ice spikes people are primarily a reindeer based race i thought it’d be fun to incorporate that!) (a good chunk of this is based on a some of falls ideas i did not come up with all of it)

so, they’re like. not quite arranged to be married but it is expected that they will be, from Breads side atleast. The fortress cares a lot less about it, they just wanted banana to win for coolness points. the fortress cares so little, in fact, that they failed to mention to Banana the whole. “prize”. so banana wins and then is congratulated on his future wife and he’s kinda like. my what now?? as he’s already being introduced

i’m remembering why now, very shitty doodles but it’s okay they get the point across !! ignore the rods i lowkey scrapped them because they’re really annoying to draw, if i can think of a better way to make them work i bring them back at some point (his horns are meant to look like blaze rods and act similarly enough anyway)
