Sorry, I know youâre tired, but can we talk about the infantilization of joy? Of whimsy? âThatâs childishâ well maybe I just want to return to a time when I was closer to happy. Is that so wrong? Must I suffer to prove my worth? Is it not enough that I must live through the pain, must I also endure forcefully ignoring the little things that could bring a smile? Just to seem stronger or older or better? Can it not mean something because it makes me happy? Does someone have to die for you to care?
And while weâre here, what in the infinite universe is worth the pain and suffering? If joy ca fade but pain often does not, what is it for? Yes yes, too close to asking for the meaning of life, I know. Iâll stop soon. Maybe.
