Hello! My name is Evelynn, I'm a 20 something TMA CAMAB trans woman who started this blog as a side-blog to talk about transandrophobia/transmisogyny discourse that I've seen so often on this site.

In a nutshell, my beliefs are as follows, for those wanting a quick read on me and my views:

Transandrophobia/Anti-Transmasculinity/Transmisandry, whatever word you want to use, isn't a thing. Trans men and transmascs aren't oppressed or discriminated against for being men/masc

Transmisogyny is real thing, and it's a legitimate issue that needs to be discussed more often

Those are the main two points, further info on my views will be apparent as this blog has more activity.

No congratulations are in order. It's only right of me to be listening to those who are marginalized

good on you for being open to other opinions and being able to acknowledge you might have been wrong. That instantly makes you better than like 99% of the people involved in Tumblr discourse. I'm sorry if this comes off as patronizing, but it's really rare for someone to listen and realize they might have been misinformed and I'm a little excited.

I'm trying to learn and grow as a person. I know I've done a lot of wrong, but I'm working on righting that wrong.

Reminder: The big innovation of modern transfeminism isn't singling out trans women as an oppressed group, it's analyzing the oppression of trans women in the framework that we're oppressed as a type of women, and therefore have a lot of shared struggles with other women. That's a huge part of the point. You can't lose sight of that.

You go around talking about hating trans men and then say transandrophobia doesn't exist, which is ironic, because you ARE a transandrophobe. I do think we need to call out the fact that a lot of the transandrophobia people are literally just insecure about their masculinity just like their cis counterparts.
