Kaworu is still alive in a basic material form, as well as presumably conscious. When he died, rather than leave behind broken bones or other such carnage, he left a copious amount of what we at the lab have dubbed ANA. It's the Angelic version of LCL and is the substance that Angels decompose into when they die, most easily observed with the death of Sahaquiel, where it's body exploded into geysers of the substance. This is relevant to Kaworu's death in that every molecule of him is in that entry plug, while his soul/mind is trapped in the heart of Unit 013. This is almost exactly like Shinji's experience of being dissolved into LCL in Episode 20. Shinji later was reformed from the LCL that was extracted from the plug interior into his previous form, and all his memory. There is no reason this should not be possible for Kaworu from the entry plug of Unit 013. In regards to the Coffins of Tabgha, little to nothing is known about them. However we at the lab believe (but cannot guarantee) that they house not clones of Kaworu, but instead represent the active Children. At the time of Seele releasing Kaworu, pilots Rei, Asuka, Shinji, and Mari were all in active service. That's why there were 4 coffins already open. As too the closed ones, we know nothing about them and they are presumed destroyed when the effects of the 3rd Impact reached the White Moon. Clones of Kaworu are considered impossible due to the fact that he was created spontaneously and without warning. In order to cycle Lilith's soul through physical clones of Rei, they needed to recover some part of her body to extract the soul from the corpse, as removal from a live organism is impossible. A clone of Kaworu physically is 100% possible, but it would be even more broken and shadowy than the most emotionless Rei. Rei's body is composed of Adam's flesh, allowing her clones to be conscious and aware without a soul as Angels do not require a soul to function. Clones of Kaworu, composed of Lilith's flesh would be little more than robots without Adam's soul.

I'd like to personally congratulate you for throwing me for a loop with your reference to the Coffins. I'm operating without ever having seen the movies or original series, but I gathered so much information that it wasn't a problem until now. I also wanted to thank you for asking why Kaworu would still be alive, as I've wanted to do a report on it for a very long time. Please continue to be this awesome, whoever you are.

Red eyes are regarded as signifying the Angelic and potentially FAR origins of the person in question. Both Kaworu and Rei can actually be regarded as FAR due to the fact that they both contain the souls of Adam and Lilith respectively , and their bodies are composed of cloned cells collected from the opposite seed of life. Kaworu is Lilith's flesh with Adam's soul, Rei is Lilith's soul in a DNA clone of Yui Ikari USING Adam's flesh. Kaworu also possesses a S2 Engine and physical AT field due to the situation of his creation and because the human made direct contact, the human spontaneously awakened Adam, ripped out his soul, and developed an S2 Engine, becoming Kaworu. The manifestation of the Giant Made of Light was the Awakened form of Adam, after the removal of his soul resulting in the aimless wandering before it dissolved.

The red eyes are specifically caused by the sheer power of tapping into Angelic potential forcing hyper energized blood through the body which has a staining effect exclusively on the eyes. Shinji Ikari was not stained due to the fact that he was simply contact synchronized with Awakened Unit 01, resulting in a red glow while he attained FAR status through piloting Unit 01 (which was/is a FAR). In less complex words... Unit 01 became a FAR when it awakened and because shinji was at maximum depth at the time, he became a FAR as well eventually dissolving into pure AT FIELD energy as his power increased.

An Evangelion unit is piloted through robotic neural interception by connecting the circuitry of the plug and the controls it contains, into the top of the Unit's spinal column. This allows only the most basic control, necessitating the use of mental synchronization for finer movements such as pulling triggers, stomping, advanced acrobatics, and swimming. This synchronization is achieved by using broadcast nodes on the pilot's head, which project the thoughts through the LCL surrounding them, into the finer control points of the Evangelion's brain, which then executes the commands nigh instantaneously. The mere thought of walking is often enough to make an Eva move if the pilot is well synchronized. Viewing screens and audio feed are received from sensors connected directly to the brain that pick up the sights and sounds that the Evangelion unit detects. This enables full, complex control of the Evangelion and the position of the plug is the most secure in the entire body. Deeper plug depth means a more direct connection with the organic part of the Eva, but also increases the risk of physical damage due to the LCL beginning to build a symbiotic connection between pilot and Evangelion.

Evangelion Units are perfectly possible to build, although they would take a great deal of time, resources, and broken laws to manufacture. To construct an Evangelion requires the cloning of a titan sized human from either human or Angel flesh. Cloned in a massive artificial incubator, the Evangelion Giant would then need to have a plug core drilled into it's neck, as well as circuitry installed in it's brain and spine to enable pilot viewing and audio reception. The unit is then covered in extremely durable and stylized armor to increase damage resistance. Along the spine of the unit, feedback shields are placed to minimize potential symbiotic physical damage but also set a maximum synch ratio. The activation of Beast Mode allows infinite and perfect synchronization, but leaves the user just as vulnerable to damage as the Evangelion itself, making it a last effort resort in battle. Increased plug depth is directly correlated to a greater synch ratio and superb combat capabilities.

The FAR are the earliest recorded life forms in the universe. Mighty beings possessing both the Fruit of Life and the Fruit of Knowledge simultaneously, they reigned over numerous worlds with infinite wisdom for eons before the coming of the Calamity Event. This unknown force is thought to have been accidentally created by the FAR during their experiments on their own advanced nature. The Calamity was unstoppable by even their most potent of AT field barriers and unharmed by the strongest of particle beams. Seeking to preserve life, but never wishing for it to grow powerful enough to replicate the Calamity, they developed 2 Base forms, each with only one of the Fruit, which would come to be known as Angels and humanity. Using extremely advanced and powerful AT field magic, they sealed the soul of each individual FAR inside a series of pocket dimensions known as the Doors of Guf. Each door was linked to either a Black or White Moon, carrying the primordial material of humans (LCL) and Angels (ASA). Each moon was piloted by a member of the FAR leadership, each was stripped of one of their Fruits in order to ensure that they wouldn't accidentally create a race of FAR. The moons were sent out containing their respective primordials, the pilot, a Lance of Longinus or Cassius, and a contingency plan manual should the rebirth of the FAR become possible. Earth as we know it was never meant to happen. The White Moon arrived on Earth first, and planted itself successfully. But a Black Moon arrived several thousand years later, beginning the disorder that led to modern day life. This disorder came in the form of the Impacts, as recorded in my next log.

The S2 engine, more commonly known as an Angel core, is an external device capable of amplifying the projection rate of a human AT field, as well as generating the AT field of Angels. Believed to be the Fruit of Life spoken of in the Dead Sea Scrolls, it is considered as the single most powerful source of energy in the known universe. Although no complete, functional model has ever been obtained due to the fact that they are the life force of Angels, nearly complete models have been recovered from the corpses of ramiel and matrael due to their non explosive deaths. Attempts to fabricate it have proved unsuccessful and disastrous. Seele continues to hide their experimental data on the engine, so we must continue without them. The S2 engine has also been observed as possessing a standard size of approximately 10 meters in diameter, with the exception of the engine possessed by Tabris, which is theorized to be the size of a baseball. Surgical placement of a S2 fragment in the rib cage of a human leads to the fragment being reconfigured to allow a crossroads of bloodvessels to weave throughout it. This results in near limitless energy in the human, eliminating the need for sleep, food, or exercise, although the last is heavily advised to burn off the excess energy. If excess energy builds up in the human, they begin to manifest AT field manipulation abilities. However, this procedure has only been successful 3 times out of 7 that it was attempted. The other 4 dissolved into LCL on contact with their fragment. Data records of the survivors are being compiled as I write this. I hope to publish the records soon.
