“Maybe. I don’t know, London really wasn’t my thing. Have you got a place you can cook them? I can write down a recipe for you if you’d like.”

“It wasn’t my bag towards the end of my time there either. Yeah? I live with my dad so I’ve got like, a kitchen.”

“I feel like that would take alot of scientific advancements that we haven’t made yet”

“And yet I’m optimistic about the future”

“It’s the normal, sweetheart, welcome to the upper east side.”

“There’s no real normal, y’know? It’s your normal, sure, but there’s no universal norm. And thanks, I’ve been coming here since I was a kid but whatever”

It’d be no problem to show you some time? Its a nice little stress reliever.

“ I’m sure you will find one and it will be the best thing ever. Well, I’ve been with since I was sixteen. It’s crazy to think about it.”

“For real? Damn, that’s cute as hell”

“First I get crowned king of chips, now bakeries. I am well on my way to becoming the food master,” he commented, laughing. “I see how they could do that. I mean, they’re not terrible…but they’re pretty basic. Could’ve gone to a store and got cookies like this in a package.”

“Hey, its the turn of the food pyramid to be oppressed by the patriarchy, clearly.” Evan jokes “Right? They’re shop cookies. ‘They’re oh I saw these on sale by the till so thought yeah go on then’ cookies”

“Oh, I get that. Time moves different in the city, I think.”

“Right? Plus I don’t have a job right now so all the days are like insignificant”

“That’s true, maybe I should keep a mini version of you in my pocket”

“No, I grew up with chef on the pay roll.”

“Wow... Excessive”

“They’ve got them everywhere, or they did back in England. Yeah, they’re pretty good. What do you want to even make?”

“Maybe it’s just my dodgy end of London then, Im not after anything fancy I just want some chocolate chip cookies”

So at least that isn’t has bad when you have a lot around. Awe thanks, I’m really happy.

“Yeah, I’ll find one that’s even better I’d bet. Well that’s good, obviously, how long have you two been together?”

“Oh, sure I don’t mind all, I could even show you how with my aunt’s recipe?" 

“Oh my god that would be super cool?”

“I do know how to cook, actually. Weird, but I had to raise myself.”

“I mean don’t me wrong I can cook like meals and stuff but baking cakes and the like seems to be beyond me”

“I mean, I can’t blame you! they are just so cute! Fireflies I mean. You are too I promise”

“Don’t tell me you went to Dunkin’ Donuts… My father funded a baker who studied in France and opened a bakery in the city.”

“A donut shop for cookies? I didn’t know they did cookies. Your father funded a baker? That’s a thing? Cool, what bakery is it?”

“How long ago did you move here?”

“Just like a month ago I think? Time isn’t my friend, I forget”

Noah smiled, taking the bag from her and he took out a cookie. “Okay, well. Follow me, I’ll show you where the good cookies are,” he nodded. He took a bite of the cookie and began walking toward the bakery. He glanced in the bag as he walked and sighed before looking back up where he was walking, “You’re right, though. They are not that great.”

“Lead the way, bakery king” Evangeline jokes with an over the top bow before following after him “They’re pretty sad, right? They made my soul feel grey”
