okay hi yes i’m cecilia !! and this is alexandrine...who was switzerland until 30 mins ago  but it now france bc i always will take an opportunity when i see fit.  ANYWAYS,  alexandrine.

descended from the medieval capet line. with the bourbon monarchy recently reinstated following the 1960s

alexandrine was born on september 4th, 1994 at centre hospitalier de versailles. yes she is a virgo. (virgo sun, cancer rising, leo moon, libra venus to be exact)

she is the only child of king louis philippe iii and queen béatrice, daughter of a germanic monarch/noble (ie belgium, luxembourg, germany, austria, switzerland, i’m keeping it open...u know cousins plot)

unfortunately for béatrice her husband louis philippe was not faithful, which led to an unfortunate cycle of women in the king’s life and more than a few half/bastard siblings appearing. 

it was only by the time she was in her teens and attending lycée louis-le-grand ( with alum such as victor hugo, robespierre , and baudelaire)  in paris that alexandrine as the only heir to the king began to appear in public. hours of school in the day and appearances at galas, openings remembrance days in the evening. 

she was after all raised to be the queen

with more and more influence being pushed onto alexandrine once queen béatrice’s fertility issues came to light after years of trying for a sibling. 

however it was always talked about like she wouldn’t be queen for years, that she would be old and gray before the issue came to be.

so she wasn’t too focused on perfection just yet

she tried to live her life

she went for her undergrad at la sorbonne. going for double degrees in both international relations and linguistics

as well as a year at oxford for her main international relations, alexandrine had been working towards her phd in linguistics at la sorbonne, translating legal documents for refugees, when the news broke that the king of france had been involved in a helicopter accident over the channel

she was only twenty five at the time, but still alexandrine let herself be naive. 

she didn’t allow herself to think there was an issue at all, after all accidents happened all the time. 

it was only when everyone in the room knelt in front of her and her titled changed from her royal highness to her majesty that she actually processed, she was queen of france

she barely had time to process the death, only a day after the funeral before her counsel sat her down and told her she must legally get married or begin the process of getting married for her claim to be solidified, due to old french laws. 

it was her mother who suggested it, an old child hood friend. 

now, only a few months later. alexandrine is queen of france, betrothed, and desperately trying to figure out how to handle this at twenty six. oh and because she’s stubborn still slowly finishing her phd as well.
