Of course, finding a parking spot in L.A. was near-impossible on most days, he knew that, so he had texted her to tell him when she’d be out. Jude was going to stall the car and wait for her outside, but she wasn’t out by the time she said she’d be. No matter, he circled the block around once, slowly, and on the next go around she was finally waiting for him outside. “Get in, stranger,” he called with a grin from the windows rolled down. The hip hop station was on at a low volume, not loud enough to interfere with their conversation. 

“I am offended you have to even ask that.” He gives her outfit a once over; happy to see Eva. “Long time no see, friendo. Where to?” As if he’d purposely forgotten where they were going.

“Listen, I don’t know the types of women you usually pick up on street corners but you can’t make those jokes Judas, you’ll get us both arrested and we’re too pretty to be in a cell.” She smirks, plopping her seatbelt into the buckle as she gets comfortable. 

“Please.” She answers, her hand already reaching to turn the music up by a notch, though ensuring it still wasn’t too loud. “wow, wait—” she remarks dramatically, her body turning in the seat as best she could whilst seatbelt was attached. “Have you already forgotten who I am?” She asks, playing along. 

Matt: True together we have almost one whole brain

Matt: Well yeah but I didn't expect yours to be so fully there with me 😔

Matt: You obviously know that telling me not to do something is gonna make me do it so I'm forced to conclude u want deets

Matt: Damn................that was ice cold

Matt: I'm banning u from concerts

Eva: wow don't get too big for ur boots matty

Eva: excuse you, i'm going to find a priest for a cleanse

Eva: ur like 1 text away from delete

“But.. I mean.. Saying no.. It’s just so.. Final.. you know?” she replied honestly, she didn’t want to actively be someone who said no. “I just.. My dad always taught me to try and be a yes person. So I guess.. I’ve just always been that way..” she tugged her lips to the side of her mouth and  shrugged “But you’re right.. I need to  learn to say no.. so we can do that..”

Aspen shook her head when Eva picked up a plain black shoe. “No way.. You can’t just want a classic.. What about something… Red”, scanning the racks for something and finding a red Dior shoes and holding them up. “Look at these bad boys.. And 35% off too!” she squeaked and handed them over too Eva “or… what about something…Coloured? I don’t know? Different”

“Its supposed to be, thats the whole point Aspen.” She remarks, as though this really shouldn’t need explaining. Eva was definitely a no person, she wasn’t doing anything she didn’t want to, feelings of others coming second to her own needs. In respect for Aspen Eva would bite her tongue when it came to Alistair, but she could definitely drop a comment about his life choices, a magician, does he think he’s Harry Potter? “Yes we can.” She answers, smirking at a yes answer to a conversation about saying no. 

“Hmm—” she pondered as she turned the shoe over, before setting it back down on the rack. Aspen was right, black shoes were boring. “Maybe heeled boots.” She remarks, turning the Diors over that Aspen had just handed to her, obviously not yet impressed. “I’m pretty sure I already have some like these.”

“Thank you!” Macky smiled, raising her glass and handing the other glass to Eva. “I am glad you came. Finally a break from your creepy customers.”

Eva pulls her hand up to her mouth, her finger covering her lips as she lets out a loooooong shhhhh at the idea of the creepy customers, her free hand reaching for the glass the other girl was passing her. “I brought you a present, I don’t know—” she glances around. “Its somewhere.” She shrugs, her free hand wiggling her fingers. “You can have a massage if you want, I guess.”
