What a fortune that he was the one that stumbled upon the god rather than something else that had more malicious intent, does Etihw’s luck ever run out? No. It wouldn’t any time soon if the head angel had a say in the matter. “No, it’s fine,” There was something about how the other that begged his intuition to understand. They almost looked as if what ever business they came for wasn’t yet finished. “... Do you need help with something?”

The sound of beating wings had ceased with Wodahs scuffling to a halt and folding the white masses, in his hands cradled a small blanket wrapped bundle. Flowers didn’t do well with how fast the angel flies. So many graves though... he’ll have to bring more tomorrow and the next for sure, but with his sharp gaze skimming from one stone to another, Wodahs managed to catch sight of the deity. So the hadn’t started to head home just yet. “Your grace.” He called out, or as loud as he’s willing to get as he maneuvered through the graveyard.

Still no sign of Etihw, it may be a visit out of respects but with how the sky was starting to already darken, Wodahs was getting a little uncomfortable. If he goes though, the head angel won’t be going empty handed. As brief as it will be- it’s still a visit. He’ll have to pay a more proper one tomorrow for sure. “I’ll give them a five more minutes...”

“There?... If they didn’t tell anyone, there’s a reason for it. If they aren’t back around dinnertime though, I’ll go and bring them home.”

“Hmm.” Come to think of it, he hasn’t seen Etihw all day. Just where did the little deity go?

“...”He’s not too sure what to make of the little grey ball. Maybe it’s speaking outside it’s circle of knowledge though.

“If I think about it… It’s not good to mix personal affairs with work. You have to separate them.”

“I’m not allowed to make decisions while sleep deprived.”

“I’m not dead on the inside though. Seeing them so close sometimes makes me want to find someone special too. But. Duty calls.”

“There’s a saying that gets passed around every now and then by my extremely annoying subordinate. You sir, are an arsekettle.”

“No.” He didn’t make a move  to pull Etihw off, but his  wings did give a heft flap before resettling. The reasons why Kcalb was allowed to be so close to the god, wasn’t just because he’s their other half- there was the fact that even if they weren’t two parts of a whole, both needed each other to keep the balance possible. A balance that he’s responsible for. “I said it before. I shouldn’t. Because if it came down to it, if you were the one to disrupt things... You could promise that you wouldn’t but everyone is the hero in their story. I have to be able to stop you. Try and understand.”

Right, he normally doesn’t raise his voice. A quiet apology was uttered before he’s the one glancing away. Talking so freely about himself has never been a favorite thing to do. There’s a reason why this angel does so much behind the scenes and that was one of them. “... It’s difficult to pin an exact date. ‘I want them to be happy’ to ‘I want to make them happy’ blur together.”

Perhaps shouting wasn’t the best course of action, Wodahs mused and drew in a shaky breath as his eye closed. If he didn’t calm down, things will only get worse. The first thing to realize is that the angel isn’t cornered, Etihw knows when their luck is pushed. He trusted them to pull back and give him room if Wodahs excused himself. A sigh left the angel, and now his sharp gaze (albeit softened with some effort) concentrated on Etihw. “I said, I shouldn’t be in love with you.”

“Hmm.” He seems to be debating over flowers again.

He should try persuading Kcalb to play along with Etihw more... if he wanted to share the fun that is. Wodahs’s hand gentle clasped the god’s smaller ones and his brow furrowed slightly with fake thoughtfulness. “... Jaybird. The one that goes ‘jayjayjayjayjayjay’.”

Today was full of its own small surprises, but you would thing that Wodahs would’ve gotten used to the antics a long time ago. He’s not going to complain though. Hearing Etihw sing was one of the few joys in life he would readily indulge in. His feet were quick to match the slow paced dance and kept the rhythm in mind. It sounded different then he remembered it being like, but it’s only natural, he’s not a small boy anymore. “Chickadee, chickadee, flying through my window.”
