That seemed to be the number one questioned asked among the newer worms that were eventually unearthed from the muck and grime of the Earth. Her answers was always the same as well, shake of her head and her lips still quirked into her ever present smirk, “Nope, not at all.”
About three weeks now? Isuke couldn’t count the days for they all started to blur together. But she knew that it hadn’t been too long…however, it felt like an eternity. She couldn’t say that though; she’d gladly tell this girl to keep her head low, don’t look so trusting and don’t be fucking stupid — but to say that only a couple weeks felt like forever? Such words presented a harsh reality that Isuke fought back with tooth and nail every day.
Deep thoughts for just walking some dumb suitcases to a dumb cabin.
Speaking of which, here they were now! Isuke let out a breath through tight lips as she nudged open the door with her shoulder, allowing herself inside first to set down the bags.
“Home sweet home, ne~?" Sarcasm. The sarcasm was biting, thinly veiled if at all.
“I see…” spoke Fiore, nodding partially in acknowledgement that perhaps the other girl wasn’t quite in the mood for purposeless chatter. Seeing as how she seemed to have fallen deep in thought as well, Fiore simply stayed quiet for the remainder of the trip despite her interest in what could have possibly been on the other girl’s mind. Though normally she would try to ask what was troubling them, she knew better than to intrude in on her business in particular.
It would have been impossible to not catch the sarcasm that was laced with Isuke’s words, but Fiore remained neutral, not wanting to start anything unnecessary with someone she had just met moments ago. “I suppose so…” she began. Maybe to lessen the tension, she should thank the other girl for the help now! “Thank you for carrying my luggage for me! You really saved me, and I’m truly thankful!”
“Um…! If there’s anything you need help with in the future—even though I can’t do much—I’ll be happy to help! Ah—you probably have some things planned for today, right? I don’t want to delay you any further, so if you want, you can leave now. I can take care of the rest!” She gestures towards the suitcases. She’s more than capable of unpacking herself, it was just bringing the suitcases here that was difficult, after all.
