To Him

I want to start writing again. No more of these one sentence posts; it’s no where near satisfying nor has it really given me a successful outlet. 

After re reading some of my past blog posts, I was actually pretty blown away by the seasons of victory and pain that the Lord has faithfully brought me through. 

key word: faithfully

“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours."

and this is what you care about Oh Lord.

that we are with you. 

that we are near you, in all the peaks, in the troughs.

patiently, I seek after your heart.

As we respond to the call of the gospel,

*shake head here*

Oh Lord, you are mighty.

you are relentless.

you fight for us in every season and your victory is absolutely glorious.

I praise you for your strength.

I exalt you for your wonderful works, Oh God.

I thank you for the grace of redemption.

I thank you for the privilege of being a witness.

So, God. Open the eyes of my heart so that I may continue to see your love at work. Open the eyes of my heart to see your hand upon us all. I long to see you more, oh God.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God;     my hope comes from him. 6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;     he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. 7 My salvation and my honor depend on God[c];     he is my mighty rock, my refuge. 8 Trust in him at all times, you people;     pour out your hearts to him,     for God is our refuge.

"God wants lovers. Oh, how tepid is the love of so many who themselves by His name. How tepid is our own - my own - in comparison with the lava fires of his eternal love. I pray that you may be an ardent lover, the kind of lover who sets others on fire"
