cant believe this was written by peter david. not only does this comic establish that conchata slept with one of the most powerful men of new york 'consensually' , but also that gabriel proceeds to be angry at her for it because it meant she cheated on his super abusive father that traumatized both of them for decades ? and also being like "if me and miguel dont have the same father, then we aren't brothers." why would that matter more than having the same mother anyways?

miguel's wish to angela makes me so sad because after having such a rough start at alchemax boarding school and feeling discouraged by the entire situation, he instinctively wanted a pony. irl, horses are often part of animal therapy to help mentally ill children relieve anxiety, build trust, find acceptance and feel comfort. and i think the key aspect of why miguel specifically asked for a pony, was for them to be around the same height and give him a feeling of them being 'equals.' The intimidating size of the horse he ended up getting only made him feel small and overwhelmed all over again and he immediately left. angela you had ONE job

it's evil enough that he did this to invoke fear in him and lay the foundations for the grooming process, but the fact it made miguel the perfect, defenseless target for literally everyone else makes it even worse.
