Bad
pre ts!Iwaizumi Hajime x fem reader
1.0k words
event masterlist
How could my day be bad when I’m with you?
School’s always been dull for you. Come to school, sit through hours of teachers yapping, club activities, go home and repeat this 5 times a week.
It’s not like you don’t have friends, of course you—do but it’s not enough to take away the feeling of emptiness you feel everyday.
That was until you met him.
Iwaizumi Hajime, vice captain of the school’s volleyball team.
You two have never interacted, you two aren’t even in the same class so it makes sense why you weren’t familiar with him.
To run it back, one of your classmates has been gushing to you about Oikawa non-stop the past couple days. Something about how the volleyball team has a vacant manager spot. Not like you paid attention, you were never a sporty person to begin with.
After enough pestering, she convinced you to accompany her to the gymnasium after school for the manager ‘audition’.
“Are you sure this is a good idea? I mean, you know nothing about volleyball y’know"
“I told you, I’m there for Oikawa!" She squeals as you two arrive at the gym, standing in front of the doors.
Your hand reaches out to push it open, but someone else beats you to it.
A tall, short spiky haired boy. It looks like he was too busy yelling at someone behind him to realise that you were right there.
“And stop slacking off shittykawa- Oh. Hey, sorry" His expression instantly goes to a more neutral one as his eyes meet yours.
You swear your heart was about to jump out of your chest.
That was the day the empty void in your heart was filled, and your days became less bland.
Since that day, you’ve caught yourself looking for him in crowds and in the hallways. Sometimes when he passes by your classroom, your eyes stay on him until he’s out of your view.
Every time you two accidentally lock eyes, he’ll give you a firm smile and a nod.
How could something so simple make your heart pump so fast?
It's ridiculous, really. All this over a guy you just met.
But you can’t help it. You can't help the warmth that spreads through your cheeks when he even looks in your direction, or the way he gives that smile to you.
꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡
The sun was setting as you walked back home on your own. The orange light was a little blinding, but it would be a waste to not savour this moment. It’s not everyday you get to witness this after all.
The park nearby was pretty empty today. There were a few old couples on an evening walk, chatting and holding hands.
How beautiful love is. It's such a blessing to be able to grow old with your partner.
As you smiled to yourself at the sight, you noticed a familiar face. A certain spiky haired vice captain. It seems like he was also strolling through the park.
Your body moved against your will. Your feet took off when you saw him, completely throwing away any rational thoughts.
“Iwaizumi!" Your voice came out a little shaky from running over to him—or maybe it was nervousness.
As usual, he gave you that smile of his and that small wave. That stupid smile and gesture that made your heart feel like it ran a marathon.
You couldn’t help the smile that crept onto your face. It was the most you’ve smiled all day—all week even. Something about just being in his presence makes your heart feel full.
"I didn’t expect you to be here too” He started as you two telepathically decided to walk in the same direction.
"Just a change of pace today. Are you here alone?”
He explained how it was supposed to be him and Oikawa, but given how popular he is, he ended up getting swept away by a wave of his fangirls. So, he’s now left to walk alone.
"Then… should we walk together? I don’t live too far from here"
‘Shooters shoot’ you thought to yourself.
“Yeah sure, it wouldn’t be safe for you to walk on your own once the sun fully sets anyway"
You two walked and talked for what felt like a lifetime. It’s basic, but this truly is the most fun you’ve had in a long while.
You learnt that you lived in the same neighbourhood just a few roads away. Not only that, you two share a few things in common too.
Unfortunately, you can’t freeze time. The sun had fully set, and the streetlights came on. You realise that, and you can’t help but feel sad. An indescribable sadness. Not even losing a pet had you feeling this way.
“Hey, you okay?" His voice snapped you out of your sad daze. How long have you been zoned out for?
“Sorry! Just… tired” You lied straight through your teeth. Well, not fully. You were tired before you saw him. Somehow, seeing him energized you.
"You sure? You seemed pretty out of it” He stopped in his tracks and leaned in to get a closer look at your face. As he did, his hand brushed yours.
You froze. He was a breath away. Your eyes widened and so did his when he realised what he did.
He quickly pulled back with a frantic apology that you were too flustered to comprehend.
It’s like your body refuses to listen to you today because before you even noticed, your hand reached out to his.
And to your surprise, he reciprocated. His fingers laced with yours and completely dwarfs it. It’s warm. Just like how you imagined it to be.
"Ah- I’m sorry I-”
But he just held on tighter. His face had an expression you’ve never seen before. It was serious. No—firm? That’s not it either but, the pink hue on his cheek mirrored yours exactly.
"Don’t let go. Please.”
Iwaizumi Hajime? The intimidating vice captain of the school's volleyball team begging you to keep holding his hand? Are you dreaming?
At his plea, you tightened your fingers around his with a shy nod.
“I won’t let go"

timeskip!tsukishima kei x f!reader
w/c: 1.5k, ex!tsukishima, slightly ooc ?? ,, wait! series
it’s the middle of november when you see him again, and sendai is exactly as cold as it was the day you walked out of his apartment.
the breakup hadn’t been explosive. there were no plates thrown, no screaming matches that left your throat raw. it was just the quiet realization that tsukishima did not have room for you in his life anymore. between his demanding career at the sendai city museum, college final exams, and volleyball practices for the sendai frogs, he had managed his time with the precise coldness of an accountant trying to balance a failing budget. and you had been the line item he crossed out to save the rest.
you still loved him. the worst part was knowing he still loved you, too—expressed only in the tight line of his jaw and the way his fingers had twitched against his thighs when you packed your final box.
but that was three weeks ago. three weeks of silence. three weeks for a man who usually took months to process a single emotional shift to completely unravel.
“are you sure you don’t want to grab the melon pan instead?”
you blink, pulling your gaze away from the grey slush on the sidewalk to look at the towering figure beside you. akira, your cousin, is squinting at the bakery display window, his college varsity jacket slung loosely over his shoulders. he’s only in town for the weekend, a frantic escape from his own midterm stress, and he’d practically dragged you out of the house for a distraction.
“the red bean is fine, akira,” you say, a small, genuine smile finally tugging at your lips. “but if you’re buying, i’ll take both.”
“so spoiled,” he mutters, but there’s a familiar, easy warmth in the way he hooks an arm over your shoulder, pulling you against his side to shield you from a sudden gust of wind.
across the street, a tall figure freezes.
tsukishima had been walking back from the museum, his hands shoved deep into the pockets of his long black coat, his white scarf wrapped tightly around his neck. he was tired. his head ached from a long lecture on late-edo period ceramics, and his chest felt like a hollowed-out shell. he had been counting the days. twenty-one. twenty-one days of staring at his meticulously organized digital calendar, realizing that every single neatly blocked hour meant absolutely nothing if the blank spaces didn’t belong to you. he had been changing. he’d started leaving work exactly at five. he’d told his coach he needed a flexible schedule. he was fixing it.
and then he saw you.
more importantly, he saw the man with his arm draped heavy over your shoulders. he saw the way the stranger leaned down, laughing into your hair, and the way you smiled back—a look tsukishima hadn’t seen on your face in months.
something inside tsukishima’s chest shattered, the jagged edges cutting straight into his lungs. his mind, usually so fast and analytical, completely short-circuited. he didn’t think about the crowd of pedestrians. he didn’t think about his reputation, or his pride, or the fact that he was standing in the middle of a busy shopping district.
before he even registered his feet moving, he was crossing the street.
‘‘y/n,’’ he speaks your name before he even reaches the curb, his voice cutting through the ambient noise of traffic and chatter.
you stiffen, the familiar cadence of his voice sending a sharp jolt straight down your spine. you pull away from akira’s side, turning around slowly.
tsukishima is standing a few paces away. his golden eyes are wide, stripped entirely of their usual bored detachment. his chest is heaving slightly, as if he’d just sprinted a marathon instead of walking across a crosswalk. he looks pale, a faint flush of frantic color high on his cheekbones.
‘‘kei?” you breathe, the name slipping out before you can stop it.
he doesn’t even look at akira. to tsukishima, the rest of the world has completely dissolved. he steps closer, stepping right into your personal space, ignoring the way a few passersby glance over at his towering height.
“please,” tsukishima says. the word is raw. it doesn’t sound like him at all. “please, just listen to me for a second. don’t walk away.”
akira blinks, shifting his weight, his protective instincts kicking in as he eyes the massive volleyball player. “hey, man, who are—”
“you don’t need to know,” tsukishima interrupts, his voice cracking slightly, a sound that makes your heart painfully squeeze. he takes another step forward, his hands coming out of his pockets, trembling slightly in the crisp air. he reaches out, his fingers hovering just an inch away from the sleeve of your coat, desperately wanting to touch you but entirely terrified that you’ll flinch away. “i don’t care. i’ll clear everything. i changed the schedule, y/n. i talk to the museum directors, i told the team—i have time. i have all the time you want. i’ll give you every single hour of my day if you just let me.”
your mouth drops open slightly. the prideful, arrogant, fiercely guarded tsukishima kei is currently unraveling in front of a pastry shop, his voice loud enough that a small group nearby has paused to watch.
right next to the shop’s awning, three people named maddy, astra, and ocean—completely oblivious to the high-stakes romantic drama unfolding two feet away—are fully locked into doing the synchronized six seven emote, their movements perfectly timed and ridiculously bouncy against the grey backdrop of the street.
tsukishima doesn’t notice them. he doesn’t notice anything but the heavy, suffocating weight of his own desperation.
“kei, stop, people are looking,” you whisper, your cheeks burning as you catch sight of a few older women lingering near the crosswalk, whispering to each other.
“let them look,” he says, and there is a terrifying sincerity in his eyes. his self-respect, the armor he had spent his entire life building to keep the world at bay, is completely gone, discarded like trash on the sidewalk. “i don't care. i’ll get down on my knees right here if that’s what it takes. i’ll beg you. just tell me what to do. tell me how to fix it.”
a tear slips down his cheek, catching the faint afternoon light before disappearing into his scarf.
akira’s jaw drops. he looks at the crying giant, then looks at you, his eyes wide with a mix of secondhand embarrassment and sheer confusion. “uh... y/n? is this the ex?”
the word ‘ex’ seems to hit tsukishima like a punch. his shoulders drop, his gaze fixed entirely on your face, looking so utterly small despite his six-foot-two frame. he looks like a boy waiting for a sentence to be passed, completely at your mercy.
you look at him. you see the dark circles under his eyes, the frantic rise and fall of his chest, and the devotion swimming in his tears. he had actually done it. he had broken his own rigid rules, dismantled his own defense mechanisms, all because the thought of a life without you was worse than the thought of losing his dignity.
you let out a soft, trembling breath, the icy wall around your heart melting instantly.
“akira,” you say softly, never breaking eye contact with tsukishima. “go buy the melon pan. and the red bean. give me five minutes.”
akira looks between the two of you, raises his hands in defeat, and promptly ducks into the bakery, eager to escape the suffocating tension.
the moment your cousin is out of sight, you step closer to tsukishima. you reach up, your gloved hands gently catching his face, your thumbs wiping away the cold moisture on his cheeks. he shudders at the touch, his eyes closing as he leans heavily into your palms, a broken, breathless sound escaping his lips.
“he’s my cousin, kei,” you whisper gently. “he’s just visiting from his university.”
tsukishima’s eyes fly open. he processes the information, the sudden rush of relief flooding his system so violently that his knees actually buckle a little, forcing him to lean down until his forehead rests against your shoulder.
“i don’t care,” he mumbles into the fabric of your coat, his arms finally wrapping around your waist, pulling you against him with a desperation that leaves no space between you. “cousin or not. i’m not letting you go again. i’ll keep coming back. i’ll keep begging until you’re sick of me or until you tell me to stop.”
you wrap your arms around his neck, burying your face in his white scarf, smelling the familiar scent of his laundry detergent and the crisp winter air.
“i’m already sick of you, dummy.” you murmur into his neck, a small laugh bubbling up against your tears. “but i can come home now.”

please help spread this,Indonesians that are speaking up are actively being silenced.if you didn't know,Indonesians are protesting against their own government but instead of listening they decided to silence us by shutting down TikTok live in Indonesia since people are updating about the protest through there. Now the police are being told to harm the very same people they are supposed to protect. No one is safe. Recently,on 28th of August a 21 year old delivery driver named Affan Kurniawan was struck by a police vehicle not once but TWICE.the police vehicle stopped for a moment and ran him over again, what baffles me the most is that they said it was an "accident".there was also a video where one of the polices in the car was caught saying " Tabrak aja"(just hit them).people said that multiple people were also struck by the Police vehicle but I don't know if its true or not.recently in Jakarta mass shootings are actively happening, there were teenagers that got hit and died some weren't even joining in the protest.the police are also attacking the medical teams and journalists even though there's a rule to never harm or attack them.all of this isnt entirely the polices fault,it's mostly the politicians that ordered them to do it.it was also said that some of the d3ad bodies were even thrown into the lake.
Please pray for us and help spread this.
Like I said,Indonesians are actively being silenced about this situation.they are even planning to cut off the internet and electricity so whenever you try to record what's going on you will hardly be able to see anything.
I will add some hashtags to help spread this.

My name is Moataz, a journalist from Gaza.
My story!
Imarried Huda on June 22nd. I was very happy with her. I photograph humanitarian issues for the world. The war started and we were exposed to a deadly attack that we miraculously survived.
We became homeless, without food or drink. My wife was crying. I set up my tent for the first time after displacement on November 1st. We sought refuge with all the relief organizations, but no one helped me. We are now awaiting the birth of our first child after a long wait. Huda is pregnant... I tried to search for safety by any means, for me, my wife Huda, and our eagerly awaiting son, Malek! 😭
We were surprised by the new displacement and the terrifying sight of the bombing. We lost everything we owned for the second time, we took refuge in Rafah, I tried in every way to provide healthy food for my wife and our expectant child, but we were surprised for the third time by a major attack that made us leave without any food or shelter, Huda is eight months pregnant and we were displaced for the fifth time, this time is the worst, Huda and I stayed for five days sleeping on the burning sand of the sea. We did not taste food for five days, 💔
...
Vetted by "gazavetters 527"
we were forced to sell sweets to save and pay the price of the tent. The date of birth of our first child, Malek, came, while we were preparing our tent to receive him, the place next door was bombed. Huda saw the remains, she lost consciousness, Dr. Ghassan requested an emergency delivery, Malek, our first child, died, I cried bitterly, and she entered a state of blood poisoning. All I want from you is to help me to save my family and Huda and restore my hope in life, from now on you, my family, I want to reach my goal, any donation. Help me save my family, if you can't please I just want to cry💔🥹🙏

Hello everyone, We are the Anas family, a fam… ANAS MOHESEN needs your support for ANAS family from Gaza,Help Us Rebuild Wha
save family lost their home ,dreams and everything in Gaza 💔💔
This is my home before the war and after the war how it became💔💔💔
Before: After:
Before the war, we lived a simple but happy life in Gaza. Our home in Shujaiya wasn’t big or luxurious, but it was filled with peace, love, and comfort. We had our own land — a small garden where we planted vegetables, a roof where we sat on warm evenings drinking tea, laughing as a family. Our kids went to school every day with joy, dreaming about their future. We had work. We had neighbors we trusted. We had routines, family dinners, birthdays, laughter. Life wasn’t perfect, but it was ours. It was full of meaning.
The bombing started, and we had to flee our home during the first week of the war. We left everything behind — not knowing it would be the last time we would see our home standing. We first went to Rimal, hoping to be safer. That’s where we heard the news: our home, the place we built with love and hard work, was destroyed. Flattened. Just like that — gone. Everything we owned, everything we saved for, was buried under rubble.
After that, we kept running. From Rimal to Al-Zawaida. Then to Rafah. We’ve been displaced four times. Each time we carry less with us, but more pain. We sleep on floors. Sometimes there’s no roof. Sometimes we stay in tents. The nights are cold, the days are burning hot. There is no electricity, no clean water, no toilets, no privacy. We wait hours just to get a piece of bread. We lost our jobs, our income. We lost our safety, our dignity. We live in fear every day — fear of the next bomb, the next loss.
We used to dream of the future. Now, we just dream of surviving the next day.
We are the Anas family — like many families in Gaza — ordinary people who only wanted peace, a safe home, and a chance to live in dignity. But the war has taken everything from us: our home, our land, our jobs, our dreams, our stability… even our sleep.
It’s hard to write this. It's hard to ask for help. But we are desperate.
Please, if you are reading this, help us. Even a small donation could mean we sleep under a real roof again. Could help us buy medicine, food, or clean water. Could bring back a little dignity to our lives. If you cannot donate, please share this story. You might reach someone who can.
This isn’t just a story. This is our life. And we’re still living through it.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
💔
Please, we are in dire need of you and your support. If you cannot donate, you can share☹️❤️🥹
