Ethiopia Adventures

Wow, well sadly my adventures are slowly coming to an end... today I woke up and spent my very last day in Addis. It was nothing short of spectacular. Today was Craig and Amanda's 14th Anniversary! So wish a Happy Anniversary to the Dyson's! Congrats!! :)

This morning I woke up and ate my last breakfast with the family! Homemade waffles! SO DELICIOUS! Then Craig took me over to spend my last day with the kids at Faith! We watched a movie, I got to paint the older girls nails, watch the kids eat lunch, and then I got to watch the kids play soccer!

Today was my first day teaching English at Faith! Instead of me coming sporadically this month, we decided it would be better for me to go for an entire week everyday! Today when we first arrived, it was nap time for the little ones! I was AMAZED-- there were probably 12-15 kids all asleep at the same time. It was one of the most precious sites I have ever seen! 

This past Sunday was incredible. We had the children get up in front of the congregation and sing some of our VBS songs and hand out certificates! It was so cute to watch them accept their awards! We had SO many kids come to church—even kids from the streets!

The last few days--WOW! What a way to show me Ethiopia! The Wright and Dyson Families have taken me to paradise in Ethiopia! We have spent the last few days after VBS at Kuriftu! It is a beautiful scene here on the lake! I have had a blast! There is even a spa here! I’m really getting treated!!!  I’ve been having so much fun I haven’t had the chance to write or skype at all! I can’t wait to head back though!! I’m excited to get back to Faith Children’s Home!
