A sigil is a symbol that you create that has the ability to manifest things into the physical world. Unlike petitions, sigils have a lot more different systems for making them. This is the system I use. This method is more commonly known as a automatic writing or freehand sigil.
COLORS - USE THE FOLLOWING COLORED INK THAT MATCHES YOUR GOAL WITH THE SIGIL (For example, a sigil to bring a lover back would be made using red ink.)
Use red ink for lovework.
Use orange ink for art, creation, and new beginnings.
Use yellow ink for your schoolwork and career.
Use green ink for finances, nature, and weather.
Use blue ink for emotions, the home, and dreams (with yellow or purple added in certain elements of the sigil).
Use purple, gold and silver ink for spirit work.
If you don’t have the color you need, black is a generic that works just as well.
SPIRITS - CONNECTING WITH A SPIRIT TO MAKE A SIGIL
To make this type of sigil, you need to connect to a spirit. The easiest way to do this is by saying a prayer of your choice. The prayer I like to use is:
o spirits of old, o spirits of new, please bring my goal upon to me. o spirits of old, o spirits of new, please help manifest this sigil. o spirits of old, o spirits of new, please talk to me. o spirits of old, o spirits of new, please tell me what to write through my hand. o spirits of old, o spirits of new, I am but a fool. Thank you.
Just draw! That’s all there is too it. If you get any impulses to draw a certain thing, follow it. That is the spirits helping you create your sigil.
There are a lot of things that you could do to charge your sigil. But the first thing you must do is stare at the sigil until there is nothing on your mind but the sigil itself. This is hard for me to explain, but you know you can just get lost in thought when looking at a beautiful thing? Try to do that while looking at your sigil. Once you are able to do that, your sigil will start to work. But to add extra energy to a sigil you could:
Put it in a place with a lot of sunlight
Put it next to flowers and other plant life (But not cacti, that’s bad luck for your sigil!)
Store a tarot or other divination tool next to it
Do not do the following with your sigils.
Burn or tear them (Unless you want the sigil’s effects to wear off)
And that’s it! Good luck making sigils in the future. I strongly recommend sigils for beginners to magic. Happy casting!
