Nonnie I’m bi af and I love my girlfriend to bits. So I’m pretty much supposed to be part of the LGBT community.

But well, I don’t like the community very much. I admit the community was very helpful back in the days, but in my opinion, especially these days when it’s all about Pride Month, it’s mostly obnoxious and annoying. All that “I’m more special than you because I’m queer” and “oh those bad straights” really gives us all a bad picture - even if it’s just meant to be funny.

It isn’t funny. Especially here on Tumblr people shove Pride down everybody’s throats and especially in June you can’t escape it at all. Rainbow flags on drink bottles, cakes, all over the social media. “Your favorite character is (Insert Sexuality)” and “#loveislove” is everywhere. It’s so obnoxious I even blocked the pride and LGBT tags. Still I see it wherever I go.

Personally I’m just somebody who doesn’t give a shit. I’m just annoyed at it. Which is normal imo. When you see something everywhere you are bound to get fed up with it. Now imagine someone who is actually homophobic sees these things everywhere. Of course to them “the gays” are now even more obnoxious than they already were before. All that colorful provocation doesn’t help anyone in my opinion, if anything it makes us look a lot more childish and annoying than we are.
