For the 20th anniversary of ATONEMENT (2007) it wd be incredible if they released a dvd/ download where Saoirse Ronan plays the 20 something version of Briony. With all due respect to Romola Garai, who was great in the role, if Saoirse could record those scenes and digitally replace her then Briony's burden of guilt might land even harder.

It wd be a bit like Richard Linklater's BOYHOOD where the actors grew older in the real world & onscreen.

and then thinking about all the people who call her cold or uncaring or clinical about what she has to do to save earth. eva stratt, who had silly t-shirts and vodka and favorite meals stored in the Hail Mary and treated with the same level of importance as the finely tuned equipment and the centrifuge the entire planet relies on for salvation.
