🔴 ENGAGEMENT IS REQUIRED this is a response-based roleplay blog.  if you consistently fail to engage,  provide feedback,  or reply after multiple interactions,  I will drop the dynamic.  if you struggle with very basic follow-through,  please do not follow.  i’m here to build meaningful interactions,  not to put in all the effort alone.  if you write in something other than third person or tend to have a more complicated formatting ... my replies will take longer. sometimes it genuinely hurts my brain to try to decipher those replies. please do not take it personally.

🔴 STARTER CALLS if you like a starter call but have previously ignored or failed to reply to starters I’ve already written for you,  your request will be forfeited.  this is not about reply speed — it’s about preventing starter calls from being taken advantage of,  as they so often are.  if you consistently request starters without engaging,  I will no longer prioritize writing them for you. 

🔴 NO BLOG HOPPING if you frequently create blogs,  do little with them,  & then abandon them for a new one within days of creating the first,  please do not follow me.  it’s frustrating to invest in plots & interactions that repeatedly go nowhere.  if i notice this pattern,  i will start soft-blocking your blogs.  you have every right to create as many blogs as you want,  but this is a boundary for my own enjoyment / sanity.  blog hopping ≠ multiple blogs. you guys know who i'm talking about.

🔴 SHIPPING i love shipping but do not promise it.  please do not force a ship — romantic or otherwise.  i prefer organic development through interaction & ooc chat.  all ships exist separately unless explicitly stated otherwise. I prefer to have some sort of ooc relationship with shipping partners, to the degree that at this point, i do think it is required. i prefer discussion of dynamics, & prefer not finding myself questioning if you are even interested in what we have going on. so often things are left up in the air. I don't like to be left questioning when it comes to creating a ship together. all this being said, I don't foresee a lot of straight up shipping with cat. flirting? absolutely. dating? yes! long-term relationships? well she's less about those.

if you fetishized m/m ships. i have nothing against gay ships,  but I will not engage with or follow blogs that fetishize m/m pairings in a way that treats them as a spectacle rather than genuine character dynamics.  there is a strange culture in tumblr rp that reduces these relationships to unrealistic,  oversexualized tropes,  & I want no part of it.  if your blog revolves around this,  do not follow me.  having a gay ship ≠ fetishizing.

🔴 FOLLOW / ACTIVITY EXPECTATIONS you’re welcome to follow first,  but I likely won’t follow back if your blog doesn’t have recent writing visible or if it’s brand new with zero content.  I do check back after a few days to see if anything has changed,  so a delayed follow doesn’t mean a hard no — just waiting to see what you bring to the table,  as often times it ends up being nothing.  I do not follow everyone back. sometimes this is because we simply have a different writing style that I don't think would blend, sometimes there are things I see that don't seem to be in line with typical tumblr etiquette. sometimes it's literally just a vibe i get. don't take it personally, i am just working very hard at keeping my dash a safe & enjoyable place for myself.

🔴 DROPPED THREADS POLICY I consider threads dropped after one month unless we’ve spoken ooc.  one reply per month is a reasonable ask — if that can’t happen,  it tells me you’re juggling more than you can handle.  no hard feelings,  but I won’t sit around hoping for development that isn’t coming.  if we’re ooc mutuals or have talked about the pacing or what we both have going on ooc that might be holding us up,  that’s different.  otherwise,  I’ll move on. 

🔴 BLUNT BUT FAIR yes,  I sound like the old man yelling at a cloud,  but I’m done pretending I’m not frustrated.  I put effort into my writing,   &  I expect at least basic respect in return.  tumblr rpc has leaned too far into “you don’t owe anyone anything” —  &  while that’s technically true,  if you agree to plot or thread,  you do owe the other person some decency & respect.  your partners are not your content machine.  if that's what you're looking for,  head over to AO3.
