a/n: this may be some time travel au or something idk this is so bad im sorry
7 a.m. Waking up. Staring at the ceiling.
Going to the studio. Drinking coffee.
Sometimes Yoongi doesn’t have meals for days. There are times where he has low sugar. Other times, he faints. But he doesn’t care. His life isn’t the same, after all.
Ever since he threw Y/n out of his life, he has been deep into the depression, submerged in regret. He has never felt so lonely.
And of course, he regretted many things. Many chances in his life that he lost. Many opportunities.
But now he actually feels guilty, because he thinks he lost the love of his life.
It wasn’t until three months after the break up that he realized his mistake. He knows he was stubborn.
He doesn’t really know why he did it. Probably he can blame the stress, or the alcohol. Sometimes he thinks he was just tired, and felt tied to you. But then again he realizes that he didn’t want to cut those ties. Sometimes he just wants to be with you, in the bed, sleeping or cuddling. Like you both used to.
It was a Thursday evening. As always, he was working in his studio, writing songs. He heard his stomach growling. He was hungry as fuck. “Were the hell is Y/n? She always brings me food…”
And that’s when it snapped in him.
When he felt his shoulders being hugged by a cold wind, instead of your loving arms. When he caressed his cheeks that had no traces of your plump lips. When his own lips felt dry, instead of being in the right place: against yours.
He checked his phone and he saw no notifications of messages. He opened your chat and he only saw a text from you.
Y/n: Please eat something today… I think I left a lunch box in the studio. Please eat. You need to stay healthy. I love you 💕
That text was from four months ago. And his heart constricted when he realized that he no longer would receive a text like that. He wouldn’t be hugged or kissed from you anymore.
He just wouldn’t be with you anymore, because that was what he wanted.
But now he regretted that decision. Now he really felt the empty space in his heart. An emptiness that only you could fill in, that only you could wipe his tears and amend his heart with your love.
Yoongi snapped out of his thoughts.
“Oh, I’m sorry, Jungkook. What were you saying?”
Jungkook sighed annoyed from the frustration of talking without being heard. “I said that Suran told us that she will come in a few minutes. She said she called you but you didn’t pick up your phone.”
“She called?” Yoongi swore he never heard his phone.
“She did. If you’re going to work with her, you should clean a bit your studio. It’s a complete mess. I don’t know how you get into there.”
Jungkook stuck out his tongue before leaving the studio without closing the door properly, making Yoongi groan out of annoyance and slamming the door closed. He sat in front of the monitor, staring blankly at it, feeling without inspiration to write anything.
He let out a deep breath he didn’t even know he was holding. Tears started to roll down his face. He was just desperate. He couldn’t continue. He needed you in his life.
“Who is it?” he said while wiping his tears and sniffling a bit.
“It’s me. Suran. Can I come in?”
Yoongi lazily got up and opened the door, not even saying hello to her. Suran looked at the mess and tried to make her way inside without stepping on something that could be important.
“Am I not even getting a hello? I’m older than you, you know?”
“I’m sorry noona. Hello.”
“Wow, you sound really bad. And you should have cleaned your place a bit. I don’t know where to step.”
“Are you just going to judge me or we’re going to work?” Yoongi exclaimed, annoyed.
“No! No. Yoongi I’m worried about you. You’re always feeling down and you’re like ten times quieter than you were before. Is something bothering you? Please tell me. You know you can trust me anything.
“I lost the love of my life. She was my muse, my everything. I took her for granted and broke her heart. And I just wish I could go back in time and fix everything. I wish I never told her that I never loved her, because I did. I do. Yeah, I’m stupid because I still love my ex from two years ago. But I just can’t help.”
Suran could feel the pain in his voice. She could feel how much he was hurting.
“Yoongi… look. I can help you.”
“How? It’s lost already. We can’t do anything.”
“No no. I mean. What if you could actually go back in time? Or… make your wish come true?”
Yoongi looked at her with a face that let her know he wasn’t buying it. “Uh huh.”
“Look. Yoongi.” She took out a card from her purse. “This man is amazing. He can amend any mistake you’ve done before in your life. People call him “the Goblin”.
“I’m serious! Yoongi-yah. Magic actually exists. Even if you don’t want to believe in it. And now you have the opportunity in your hands. This is the moment.”
For a second, Yoongi considered it. He still thought that Suran was probably drunk or high and was hallucinating with some sort of creature.
“Really?” Her eyes were sparkling.
“Yes. But only if you come with me.”
They were walking in the darkest alleys of Seoul, and Yoongi wasn’t feeling safe at all. They reached a kind of club that had neon lighting, but nothing indicated what the place really was.
“Are you sure of this?” He asked doubting of putting a step in.
“Of course! Don’t be scared, I promise it’s worth it.”
The club was dark, with a bad-looking bartender and some men were playing poker while smoking.
A security man asked them what they wanted.
“We’re looking for the Goblin”
He showed them the way to an even darker room. Yoongi walked closer and closer, but then stopped when he realized that Suran wasn’t following him.
“Go you! You’re the one that wants the wish!”
Why the heck did I accept? he thought.
The second he stepped inside the room, he saw a man dressed completely with black clothes and a big cloak, a cigarette in his mouth, and his feet on a table, almost falling backwards from swinging with his chair.
“I-I’m… M-My name is Yoongi.”
“I see. An idol. Very popular nowadays. It’s strange having one here.” He said while smirking. “You’re here for a reason.”
“You regret something.” He interrupted, widening his eyes.”
“Yes. I lost someone special.”
“Exactly. I just… I just wish I could change what happened. I need her.”
The man thought it for a moment while looking at him deep in his eyes.
“Well. Yoongi. In this cases, you have two options. One- you can go back in time where you didn’t meet her yet. Start everything over again. Or two- erasing her memory. She won’t remember anything about you. And you may start again.”
“But!” He interrupted him again. “If you go back in time, you won’t know how your future will be. Probably every thing you’ve achieved won’t be there. Every progress you have in your life and your career will be lost. If you erase her memory, every single memory you have with her will be lost. But there’s a chance that she may remember everything. You won’t know how she will react. You may trigger her memories to come back. She may not fall in love with you again.”
The man placed two pills on the table, staring at Yoongi.
