Oof… figured this’d come sooner or later. Might as well get it over with :p

So the majority of my earlier followers will know this, but for a long time, I was a Frans shipper. I DO NOT SHIP IT ANYMORE!!!

I have a neutral view on Frans (as I don’t condone harassment), and understand the views and opinions of both sides concerning the ship.

I figured I’d go ahead and say the entire reasoning before someone decided to accuse me of shipping a p3dophilic ship or twist the entire situation into something it wasn’t.

In short, I had shipped it back when it was very popular, only to leave the fandom before it was deemed as a problematic ship, then come back being very confused about the entire thing. I essentially tried defending it for a long time, obviously not because I thought it was okay to ship a child with an adult (you guys should know by now, I find that absolutely disgusting). I had different views on the ship and the way Frisk could be interpreted (often portraying them as myself in a way rather than using a self insert). I’d always had Sans and Frisk as adults and/or very close in age.

I finally stopped shipping it because of all of the problems surrounding it, and I was just tired of dealing with it all the time.

Arcanetale had Frans as canon. The change I made was making it not so.

I plan on having their “relationship” be the way @/8thekat portrays Sans and Frisk in her comic Seventh Soul. It is completely up to the reader’s interpretation. But in the AU itself, they simply become very close friends.

Any of my AUs that had Frans as canon are not that way now. I always wanted the AUs’ story to be more important than the ships involved anyway. I’d never want a ship to detract from the story itself, especially since I try so hard to have good lore for my AUs.

So if I lose followers or friends over this, I’ll be sad to see you go, but I’ll move on. Again, I don’t ship it anymore, and honestly kinda wished I’d just stuck with Soriel and selfshipping to begin with (would’ve made my life a hell of a lot easier).

I still have friends in the Frans community (I can assure you, they find p3dophilia disgusting as well), and I have friends who don’t agree with the ship but respected my views because they knew I wasn’t a creep.

After the war between Humans and Monsters, the Monsters were locked Underground. However, without the Monsters’ magic and Humans forgetting any kind of magic over time, the world slowly worked its way into decay, until it’s split up into Districts, ruled by the aristocracy (kinda like Hunger Games, only there’s no championship or whatever. Probably Divergent is a better way to describe it…)

Anyway, Frisk, an orphaned nineteen year old, lives on the streets in one of the poorer districts. Despite circumstances, she was always selfless and did everything to make sure others were fed, even if she were to starve. She was well-respected and loved by the ones in her district.

However, the one rule in every district was to NEVER go past the fence surrounding Mt. Ebbot (which the Districts themselves surrounded). But one day, while Frisk was looking for food and supplies, she realized she couldn’t find enough for much of anyone, even after scouring every little place.

So she decided to go past the fence in hopes of finding better supplies, climbing up the mountain steadily as she kept finding more and more supplies, hoping to fill her satchel to overflowing. Then she saw an opening to a cave, slightly concealed by green vines, which is what drew her attention to it in the first place. She’d seen very few plants in her life, let alone green, healthy ones.

Unfortunately, upon entering and exploring, she tripped over a vine and fell down the chasm leading to the Underground.

The Underground is the complete opposite of the Surface, even better than the higher districts. Due to the fact that the Monsters had their magic all to themselves and in a more condensed world, they flourished, with higher technology and beautiful, lush greenery. It was completely foreign to Frisk, not knowing what it felt like to even breathe clean air.

Toriel took her in and took care of her, helping her clean herself up in addition to new clothes. But Frisk’s biggest concern was getting back to the Surface to help those in her District, despite the luxuries in the Underground, later also with a motive to free the Monsters so they could help too (her reasoning changes as she progresses through the Underground, after becoming attached to the Monsters instead of hoping to use them for her people’s benefit).

I’ll probably give him a redesign, and I’ll almost definitely redesign the Reader, which is kind of what this next series of polls will be for.
