Xavier’s senses might not have been as finely honed as a veteran, but they were strong enough to know that he had picked up a ‘friend’. Being a freelance writer pays off in that department. Sometimes, you get the good news first and people do try and steal your things.

Also Xavier’s use of the word ‘friend’, was as in a person whom he wasn’t totally sure whether or not had ulterior motives, or was just being bored and attempting to do something silly. Semantics aside, he pondered on what he was to do with the new follower.

Which it currently was. This sort of warfare was forcing a number of Errorists to pull their head down further and those that wanted to slide out of the cracks had to wait further.

Xavier was certainly contemplating finding a reason to move out of Neo-Paris, but being even a small writer, this action would raise some comment. Especially if it coincided with the recent arrests.
