a very cute weekend of Friday night pasta and salad and bake-off, prospect park walk and ghinko nut foraging, bodega sandwich breakfast/lunch run picnic date, homey sleepover vibes with wife, ghinko nut processing and spooky film ritual, getting toasted and collaging, a gym trip, chavelas for brunch date, enneagram type chit chat, Mr Kale run date, such autumnal vibes, falling asleep while watching the episode of Star Trek where Holodeck Moriarty becomes self aware, getting really into the meat of Magda Szabo’s Abigail, playing hours of Breath Of The Wild, first weekend with the new window coverings and tile artwork vibe shift of the bedroom sanctuary, Sunday night English Teacher and veg wings date, + journaing.

Juneteenth & Solstice 2025

Such a genuinely blissful few days with Claire & Vivian. Channeling thick and sticky summer energy while gorging on farmers market fruits and vegetables, playing elbow deep in dirt in the rooftop garden, watching films that exude summer, having a massage & smoothie combo during peak heat of the day, doing a museum day / meatpacking architecture walk / Chelsea market food crawl date while dodging thunderstorms, reveling in schools-out-for-summer energy, summer pulp reading, intentional cooking, and brown bagging down neighborhood street fairs. The best part is how much summer is still ahead. Nothing better than summer solstice weekend.

Some beautiful memories and moments from recently and not as recently. Feeling flummoxed by the passage of time but also so thankful for every new day and the teachings it brings.
