the others challenge was childish and made abraham scoff audibly in a way he rarely did. "ya fer fuckin' real?" the vampire responded with clear annoyance in his tone, looking at eris through the deepened frown now on his face. "you know what? i ain't gonna fuckin' make ya. if ya drop, i'm gonna leave ya to bleed out since that's what ya'd prefer to do, clearly,"
abe's anger came from himself - he was trying to be better. open with strangers, kind in a way he'd never been before and the first real attempt at such a thing was being thrown in his face. the words were harsh, and gruff, things abraham had always known he was, and had never challenged.
there was a bout of silence afterwards, he listened but didn't respond, staring ahead as the sidewalk began to melt into the dirt paths that lead towards the outskirts. there wouldn't be an apology for the outburst, just another awkward attempt and conversation.
"i'll show ya. assuming ya make it,"
Eris couldn't help another chuckle at Abe's reaction to his words. The bleeding, which had started to slow down, picked up again. He put a napkin over it and pressed down to show Abe that he did listen in spite of being an asshole.
"There you go. That's more what I expect out of this." He said, clearly pleased by Abe's frustration. "You get to know me a bit, you're going to figure out that I'm tougher than I look. There's nothing wrong with a bit of pain. Lets you know you're alive. I'll be fine if you decide to leave."
He followed Abe through streets and dirt paths. In spite of just telling him he'd be fine, he was lagging worse than ever. He was starting to feel hot and sweaty as his fever grew. It was getting up past the limits of what his infernal body could take. His body was growing sluggish and weak. Black spots grew across his vision until they were all he could see. He felt the world tilt up towards him. Blindly, he reached out for something steady to grab onto. Then, there was nothing. No pain. No heat. Just blissful nothing. He was gone before he hit the ground.
