usually, i like to think that avery would never hit pc in the face, but given as how (my avery) knows that esme works for BF, and that shes a known criminal/thief that works with landry, he sees her as someone expendable, like, they cant blame him for her black eye, kind of deal. this didnt happen with ettie, bc while she did pickpocket and sell things to landry, she was also a good student who attended her classes, and only stole bc she was starving BHAHAAH, with esme, im upping the abuse simply because i think it fits more with their dynamics right now, and beating her up is like, abuse of a pet for him. my avery always somehow never fully follows through with canon, but this is just the way i like to picture him, and honestly, i dont car about "canon"

i also have this insane idea/delusion that bailey actually isnt as physically strong as one would think especially since his weakpoint seems to be mocking his strength but thats a yapfest for another day
