On the noon of January 12, 2020, Taal Volcano had a phreatic eruption (steam based) and caused ash fall to neighboring towns and even made it up til Metro Manila (capital) causing sudden evacuations, flight and work cancellations. From alert level 1, within a day, the alert level escalated to level 4 which means there’s still imminent danger of violent eruption in the coming days/ months. There were no signs of eruption previously. Up til now Taal Volcano is in Alert Lv. 4 and has displaced a lot of towns around the volcano and is needing our help.
