Even though my bike’s getting a little old, we’ve been on a lot of great rides together.  That’s why I was so bummed and pissed off that someone broke in and stole it right out of my locked garage a couple of weeks back.  However, just a few days later, I found that the thief had been dumb enough to post it to Craigslist. Stoked! I was able to set up a meet with the dude and had a couple of Whatcom County’s finest waiting in the wings to make the grab.  Here’s a celebratory selfie from my first ride after being reunited.  Felt great!

While watching the sunset at Second Beach, on Washington's Olympic Coast (posted a couple of shots back), I noticed that the moon was likely to set behind the wave-worn hole passing through the rocky headland to the north.  It was forecast to be the last clear night of our visit to La Push, so I dragged myself out of bed just before midnight and hiked the half mile or so down to the beach.  I cut it pretty close, but had just enough time to snap this shot of the moon setting right where I'd hoped it would.  It was a beautiful night to be out.
