Today we have continuation of my watercolor experimentation. Fun fact : I draw flowers when I'm not confident in a medium or when I want to draw something without worrying about how well I do it. For some reason I don't feel the performance anxiety I get from doing figures. This let's me just explore the feel of things rather than fret over its perfection. Ok so now for something completely different.. As you can see I am not a conformist. Haha I never stick to one style or media because I have too much love to give and I really enjoy exploring different things.. (when I actually face my fears).. I've been getting alot of support and inspiration from my good friend @constantine_illustrates.. If you don't follow her you should. She'll surprise you with her talent. In any event I pushed myself to get over my fear of trying water color again. And this is the second attempt. The first one was meh because I really struggled with understanding the water to paint ratio as well as the markers I was using (watercolor markers).. So this time I went back to basics with the brush. Now I must admit it's hard for me to tell what colors are what on this palette. So if colors seem wacky it's because I thought it was one color when it really was another haha.. So I did a lil exploration with copic markers yesterday.. This was kinda of a Salvo after I tried watercolor markers for the first time... It was fun but hard af and well the result is a blobby tree.. Maybe I'll post it in my story tomorrow.. I think I'm done! I'm so sorry @lazy_and_painty for taking forever. Your patience is gold to me and I don't know how I can repay it. I kept the bg simple and dark because it popped the character better since she's using her magic. That took alot for me to stop the urge to do every leaf on the trees..
