Cowboy, Golden Retriever (10 m/o), Cousins Island, Yarmouth, ME • “There was a fishing pole on the side of the boat and he wouldn't stop sniffing it. He loves fish so much. That night we saw something on him that looked like a stray whisker. I went to pull it off and realized it was a piece of fishing line attached to a hook that was through his lip – fully lodged in there. They had to sedate him and push it all the way through to get it out. He’s going to the Golden Retriever Nationals soon. He’s gonna compete in the 12-18 month class. It’s basically Disneyland for Golden Retrievers. His cousin and dad are going. He’s excited but he’s playing it cool.” @cowboy_ontherun
