Twig vase.
Maple, cherry and paint.
Cherry and some douglas fir salvaged from a pile of firewood. I heavily textured the door front with a wire brush and torched the back panel.
Oak cherry and wire cabinet.
This oak entryway table was my first attempt at this type of joinery. To be honest it was a humbling exercise. One of the legs kinda sticks out. Instead of trying to hide that fact I decided to make it stand out. I gave it some green paint and then carved it. A motif that I have been playing with on my wall cabinets. A comically oversized butterfly will hopefully keep the split top together and somewhat flat. I’ll be revisiting this construction technique for sure.

Quick little candle holder. Made from a walnut cutoff pulled out of the scrap box. Raked angles and a bit of the carved green motif from my last wall piece.
I rescued a pine board from the clutches of some type of insect. I combined it with a salvaged cherry stair tread to make this shelf. The drawer front is painted and then carved to reflect the work of the beetle. I guess you could call it a collaboration of sorts.
Birdhouse? Pine cedar and cherry. The twigs are wrapped with string and wood shavings saved from prepping the case.
A little birch, maple and walnut cabinet. Funny leather pulls and internal detail. I gave the door and the drawer face a brushed texture and raised the grain pattern on the back panel. A subtle but tactile effect.

This was fun to make. A very simple elegant honest and functional box form. Made from pine and joined with dados and cut nails. I can see myself making more of this style box in different sizes and proportions.
A simple set of drawers. The latest in this series of wall mounted pieces I have been doing.
Some kind of yard cherry makes an ok cutting board.
Is it a shelf or a cabinet? Either way. Birds eye maple. The top has a bit of a waney edge that I brushed out with a stiff brush. Carved door and some birch ply edge grain veneer wraps one end.

A little door. A little texture.
