This 14k rose gold ring would have been classified as a "day ring" when it was made in the mid to late 1800's. Day rings were considered appropriate for wear around the house in the mornings and afternoons, but would have to be switched out for more substantial jewels come the evening hours. $350.

This unusual mourning ring was made in the late 1800's in 14k gold and black enamel. Black enamel was frequently used in Victorian remembrance jewelry along with plaited hair, seed pearls, and jet. Typically mourning rings are engraved inside with information like the name, date of death, and age of the person who was being remembered. It's possible that this ring was a jeweler's model - or was never purchased by a bereaved person - because the inside of the band is missing any obituary information. $800.
