Somehow I’ve lost friends. The most bizarre thing is for reasons unknown. One day, you think everything is normal, and then poof, certain people just disappear from your life without warning, without reason.

The worst part is coming across memories. Still frames that captured a moment in time, reminding you of what once was but, is no longer. Reminding you that sometimes, it is the memories that we cherish more so than the person themselves.

Friends don’t last forever, only the good ones stick around. And if we didn’t lose certain people in our lives, we wouldn’t have enough time in the world to spend it with those who matter most.

I guess I'm still an amateur at this. I thought I shot a roll but it was blank. My reader said 15 but there wasn't anything in it. UGH! Sunset came and went. I remember parking my car and walking towards the stairs when all of a sudden I could hear the acoustics of a guitar. As we walked closer I could hear someone singing along to each strum. I knew they were taking advantage of the acoustics in the parking garage and thought to myself "that's pretty clever". As we started to walk up the stairs just across from where they were playing, I drew out my camera while listening to their tune. I held my camera up to my face, composed the shot, and clicked the shutter. When I looked down at my settings I thought "shoot! I don't think I exposed it correctly!". I didn't go for a second shot because it would've been posed, they knew now I was onto them for a photo but lo and behold I did meter correctly. This why I love streets photography. You can go to the same place every day but something will always be different and that moment that was once there will never be there again. #thedarkroomlab_streetphotography shot in #FujiFilm200 #LeicaM6
