Logic and reasoning. If she didn’t go back, she’d get more hurt. That’s what he was telling her. That’s what any of them would tell her.

She shifted, and took the bear, crimson droplets landing on her dress as she stood, looking up at Setsuno. She didn’t want to go back.

“I don’t w-w-wan-wan-want-want to hurt anymore….”

Oh good, that somewhat influenced her though he could see that she didn’t want to go back. Unfortunately, that was beyond his power or rights in deciding what to do with the girl. He was just following orders to a man he had pledged all of his loyalty and time to.

   He knew he’d be lying if he said she would be fine — if anyone would be fine. He just hesitantly opened his arms so he could carry her to where he can patch her up.

   Well you’re in luck! 

The small, fragile looking child flinched away from him. Her chin had split open, and was bleeding.

“Don’t…! Pl-please!”

‘You’re bleeding.’ He pointed out blatantly. ‘It’ll get infected soon if you don’t let me help.’ He was hesitant, she was already stand-offish to him.

She shifted, and took the bear, crimson droplets landing on her dress as she stood, looking up at Setsuno. She didn’t want to go back.

“I don’t want to go back!” Her voice was a piercing shriek as she tried to keep out of his grasp.

His fingers caught her shoulder, and she stumbled and fell, her chin banging against the ground and making her teeth click together sharply.

His eyes widened as she fell to the floor, he even flinched at the shriek too. He quickly ran to her side and furrowed his brows.

   What was this? Was he feeling worried about the girl? ‘Dammit, Eri.’ He mumbled as he inspected her for any injuries.

“I don’t… I don’t w-w-want to, I-I-I-I-” Her words got off track, lost in unintelligible stuttering as she got more frightened, taking a step back from the thief.

Eri threw the bear into his face, then nipped around him to try and escape.

He was startled at first but grabbed the bear and abruptly stood up. That brat! Did she not know she was just going to make things worse for bothof them if she ran away? ‘Eri!’ He called out to the girl as he began to storm after her.

“Everybody scream with me:

‘Eri.’ Setsuno spoke out in a cold and bored tone. A tired gaze fixated on the girl as he loomed over her frightened figure.
