So, for whatever reason, the Justice League are fighting Phantom, thinking he's evil or suspicious and trying to bring him to the watchtower or whatever, but of course Phantom isn't cooperating, either not trusting the JL/being bitter they didnt show up to help Amity Park/whatever
UNTIL... One of Clockworks' notes show up, and Phantom pauses to read it, before surrendering to the JL, saying he'll follow them.
Now obviously, the JL are confused and suspicious, but eventually come to the (wrong) conclusion that Phantom is just a lackey or something, and that the person who wrote the note is the real mastermind manipulating this poor innocent super-powered teenager.
Danny finds this all either hilarious, or stupid. Probably both.
Phantom swiftly avoids yet another attempt from Wonder Woman to get him in her lasso. He doesn't think it would work on ghosts, but he's not willing to try his luck here. He low-key would like to send all of them flying. They hadn't been around for any of the crazy shit that has gone down in the last year, and now that they finally show up they want to take him in?
He knew he should have let Technus destroy all the digital news declaring him a public enemy. It must be why the absent heroes decided to come and take him down. If only the ghost wasn’t also trying to take over the school news site just when Sam was publishing her own article on plant-based meal alternatives, he would have.
“Son, I suggest you surrender yourself before we are obligated to escalate things,” Superman says.
“You're not obligated to do anything, you asshole!" Phantom screeches, sending a wall of ectoplasm their way to force them to take a step back.
A batarang makes its way around the wall, damn its boomerang properties, but Phantom simply turns intangible and glares at Batman, who only narrows his eyes in return. The dull object eventually passes through Phantom and back into its owner's hand. This is ridiculous.
Phantom was halfway to opening his mouth to tell the heroes to leave him alone again when the note appeared. It somehow managed to stop the heroes in their tracks as well. Everyone looked confused at the floating Post-it note. Phantom grabbed the Post-it, mostly annoyed.
“They'll take you to space. Also, destroy this note. :)” Phantom stared for a minute at what was probably the most direct instruction he had ever received from the Ancient.
He groaned. “Whatever.” He crumpled the paper into a ball and tossed it into his mouth. The piece of paper quickly dissolved into tasteless ectoplasm. He placed his hands over his head and then said, “All right, I'm all yours.” Clocky better be right about the space thing, or he's mauling him.
The heroes looked to one another, unsure. Then Martian Manhunter flew closer to him, taking cuffs from a compartment in his suit that shouldn't have been able to hold them. A bit over a year ago Danny would have been delighted to meet the man, and a part of him was still amazed by the alien, but he felt mostly annoyed right now.
“Please bring your hands to the front, young one,” the Martian said, softer than Phantom thought he would be for someone they perceived as a villain.
He raised an eyebrow. “Shouldn't it be behind my back?” he asked, slowly bringing his hands to the front anyway.
“If you're coming willingly, I see no reason not to offer you the most comfortable option,” Martian Manhunter stated simply as the cuffs clicked shut.
“I believe the most comfortable option would be without cuffs,” Phantom scoffed in return. He probably shouldn't be poking at the leniency he was being shown for some reason, but he still hated the whole situation.
“We can discuss options depending on your behavior,” Batman said before Martian Manhunter could say anything else.

Martian Manhunter glanced at the teen who was glaring daggers at the Javelin's window. They had tried to ask about the note that had appeared out of nowhere, but the teen had simply looked away with pursed lips, refusing to speak a word from the moment they boarded the aircraft.
More often than not, young villains tended to be misdirected or acting out from pain. Powers rarely came without grievances, and even less so those that were visually notable. It didn't justify their actions, but it did mean that a push in the right direction and some support were often enough to help them leave villainy behind. And Martian Manhunter, despite being unable to read Phantom's mind, could feel a great deal of anger and sadness coming from him.
But what had once seemed to be a normal intervention became far more worrying once the note appeared. A teen lashing out on his own is one thing. A teen receiving directions from someone is something entirely different. Powered minors are especially vulnerable to being groomed into a life of villainy.
What's even more worrying is how readily this person not only asked Phantom to give himself up, but how easily the teen agreed. They'll have to consider whether this person holds blackmail over the kid's head, or if the kid is mentally that deep under their control.
It also raises the question of why this person would want Phantom to surrender himself. Are they hiding something bigger and using Phantom as a distraction? Or are they hoping to use Phantom to acquire information about them?
The mode of communication is also deeply troubling. None of them had been able to detect where the note had come from, or that it would appear at all. Even if none of them practiced magic, they had been around it often enough to usually be able to pinpoint it, but there had been nothing there.
Martian Manhunter sighed mentally. He's sure Batman would remain paranoid about this person spying on them, or gaining information through Phantom, until they proved that wasn't the case. He can't even blame him for this one.

He's not sure exactly how it started (thats a blatant lie. there was a job opening at the Smithsonian and it came with behind the scenes perks and he wanted to abuse the heck out of them at the Air and Space Museum) but he was now a personal assistant.
and it was kinda fire actually.
not that he would ever say that out loud.
Dr. Prince (You may call me Diana, Daniel. If you call me Danny. Touché) was an expert on Ancient Greece. (and something about the way she quirked the corner of her lip whenever she said that reminded him of when someone asked him about ghosts. but he refused to think about that connection any longer than necessary because he knew it would complicate his life and he was decidedly looking to not do that thank you very much)
and thanks to his teen years spent brawling with the dead, he knew a fair amount about the topic himself. (an amount that was definetly not suspicous) Which was probably the only reason he was kept on long enough to go from highly disfunctional ex-teen vigilantee to competent PA. if he was being entirely honest.
He's not entirely sure how he got the job. he knows why he applied, and why they kept him on, but the hiring of an astronomy PhD canadite for a PA position at the Natural History Museum was beyond him.
It was probably Clockwork.
Whatever, he was getting off track.
He didnt know how he became a PA, but he didnt hate it.
Especially when it brought billionaire tech genius (and noteable playboy) Bruce Wayne to his desk. There's something inherently satisfying about making a rich guy wait in a room not designed for waiting just because he thought he could just barge in without an appointment.
It had been 20 minutes.
And Danny had made exactly zero attempts to contact his boss.
Wayne had begun to fidget. Barely noticeable unless you had lengthy experience studying people for sudden changes in behavior denoting agression or possesion. Which Danny, unfortunetly, had.
Eventually his fun had to end. And that time came at the 35 minute mark when the sensor he had covertly embedded in her office triggered the notification on his computer to blink once. He waited a few extra minutes, set a calendar appointment. waited for his phone to ring (startling the billionare in the process) made a show of checking the device and 'typing' a response and then got up and sauntered the 6 feet from his desk to Dr. Prince's door and knocked to get her attention (and make sure his face didnt let on that he Knew that she hadn't been in her office for the last hour.) Hyper aware of the eyes following him.
It was shaping up to be an interesting kind of day.
What if Diana hired him because even though Danny has no background in archaeology or history he was able to, at a glance, know what artifacts were/used for. He just spends a lot of time around Pandora that he just knows what they would look like while and can easily tell what the are and doesn’t really think of that as strange. He even figured out who was being depicted on a small pottery shard within minutes of looking at it (he was just hanging out with said people who’s story is on the shard just last week)
But that got Diana’s attention. Because there are pieces she has that people not tapped into a direct link to the ancient world should not be able to easily know without extensive research and knowledge but this guy with a degree in a completely different field can at a glance them.
For a while she has the belief that maybe it was just a childhood obsession and he just happened to have an interest in it enough to know a lot things without a degree. But then she starts talking to him casually about things...and a lot of Danny’s replies, unbeknownst to him, really only line up if he was someone with an extensive hands on first person perspective aka someone who was there, like Diana.
So Diana starts thinking she may have someone’s immortal Demi-god kid now as her personal assistant Cause how else would he have that knowledge from her perspective.
Him regularly visiting the perpetual Ancient Greek society in the afterlife would not be on the radar of anyone’s guess.
She’s also trying to figure out whose kid he is and based on that figure out if she should even bring it up or not. For all she knows he’s doing a good job being her assistant and he may just be wanting to just chill or flip side he’s someone’s kid that’s up to some nonsense
Even funnier if she gets an artifact that basically identifies which god’s kid he is and has a mini freak out when Danny registers as one of Chronos’ (he’s adopted but it still counts for that artifact)
Also if the artifact could read he was the ghost king but had limited options for displaying the information it gathers. It would probably look like Danny was Hades that got stuck somehow in human form.
Diana assuming Hades had lost most of his memories and gotten stuck in a mortal form would be funny. Thinking Danny's knowledge that was far too accurate for anything but first hand experience were the subconscious suppressed memories of the Greek God of the Dead. So many possibilities with that misunderstanding
Can you imagine how funny that would be, because Hades in the comics is depicted as an asshole and one of Wonder Woman’s villains, in pretty much every run when his character pops into the story (as far as I’m aware of at least based on the comics I read with him in it)
So Diana is now left with this choice, seemingly.
She can leave him as is because he seems happy and is nice and helpful and she actually really enjoys Danny’s company and input.
Or
She can try and help him regain his proper place as a god and give him his memories and powers back (which would technically be the “right” thing to do)
Cue to many funny moments of her researching ways to try see if she even could reverse what was done to him but also trying to hid it from Danny what she is doing because she’s worried there’d be a negative reaction if he finds out she thinks he’s the god of the underworld
With all this ending in two ways (or both)
1 - She finally figures out a “cure” and he finally thinking helping him really would be the right thing even if negative for her - uses it on Danny - only for it to fail.
She’s confused - he’s confused - anyone else helping is also confused
And that’s when it all comes out what she was trying to do and who Danny “really is” and how he needs to return to his “rightful throne”
And/Or
2 - During all this of Diana trying to figure out how to “help” Hades - the REAL Hades starts causing trouble which just leads to a whiplash of a situation of “wait if he’s there who are you????”
And she gets a front row seat, to her enjoyment, of watching her personal assistant start just throwing hands with Hades to stop what ever his plan is and Danny WINNING
After all that Danny just ends up laughing his ass off and having to come clean that while he is the king of ghosts he’s not Hades - he’s technically Hades boss
(**side note: the artifact Diana used to figure out who’s kid Danny was, was made by Hera to help track down all of the Zeus half kids running around lol**)

I’ve seen people comment that Pomni’s torture scenario was kind of weak compared to the others, and that it could be because she hasn’t been in the circus as long, thus Caine can’t personalize her punishment as well.
And even if he’s technically using their traumas to hurt them, I don’t think that was his main intention. I think he was “replying” to their criticisms.

Zooble: Pathetic! You’re like a child! What kind of all-powerful being has such fragile ego?
How can someone, whose body perfectly encapsulates their mind and is fully customizable, not feel satisfied yet? How many options do you need? How vain can you be, Zooble?
First of all, I know that Zooble most likely suffers from dysphoria, and Caine focusing the torture scenario on that was a massive dick move on his part, especially when Zooble had shared their insecurities about their body in a previous episode.
However, in that same episode, Caine shared with Zooble his own insecurities.
Caine: Making adventures is my art! It’s all I exist to do! All I am… good at. (…) … w-what you’re saying could imply that I’m bad at the only thing I’m good at, and that…
I’m just saying that he probably took Zooble’s criticism as a low blow of its own and he made it personal.

These are all good point, though I would like to highlight the expressed motivation of “I’m going to put you freaks in your place”.

I guess it adds to your bit, actually. For Pomni’s scenario, making the NOCs ‘real’ isn’t necessarily a ‘good’ idea, because a ‘real’ Gummigoo would be a violent reptile capable of tearing you limb from limb.
I also agree completely with Ragatha’s scenario for ‘Making this place be like your home would be terrible, actually’ and that Gangle’s was a ‘Your ideas suck, look what happened last time’ thing.
