when alexander first saw bucephalus and found out that his dad philip didn’t want to buy the horse because he was unmanageable, he kept saying that it sure would be a shame to give up such an awesome horse

he kept saying this until philip was like well alex do you think you’re so great that you can tame this horse

of course alexander said yes

alexander tamed this Troubled Horse Who Lets No One Else Handle Him by being gentle to him and and turning him away from his shadow

literally like a Horse Girl Movie ™

philip was so amazed by this that he told alex that macedonia was clearly too small of a kingdom for him

in the words of a delightful ode to bucephalus, “fuck you, dad”

bucephalus became alexander’s favorite horse whom he loved without equal and who wouldn’t let anyone else ride him

one time bucephalus got kidnapped by persians and alexander freaked the fuck out

he promised that he would cut down every tree, burn all the crops he found, and kill every living creature until he got his horse back

needless to say, bucephalus was returned along with a plea for mercy

bucephalus then supposedly lived to be about 30 years old which is pretty long for an ancient horse

when he died alexander was so upset that he named a city bucephala after him

that’s right, a city named after his horse

a simple boy. recent invention, but he’s flexible at expressing emotion. he can be angry: >:2 or he can be sad: :’2 over all, a good horse boy and i love him.  9/10 for ability to convey emotions

round boy!!! a lot like apples other emojis, he has Depth, but unfortunately i cant tell if he considers me an ally. 6/10 for his air of mystery

a gentle boy. he wants to graze and maybe nuzzle at a sugarcube or two. very approachable 10/10 for his clearly conditioned mane

this is a fucking chess piece 3/10 because he moves like he’s destined to be the L block in tetris

woah there! this dudes makin eye contact AND smiling. he has a lil heart for the top of his mane. this dude clearly has the chompers needed for eating some primo hay 5/10 because he looks like a cow at first glance

this is how you do a horse looking at you straight on. he looks inquisitive, as if asking you if you have any apples, by chance. you could probably befriend him with some time. shows samsung horse how its done but in a polite and constructive way 7/10 because he looks like you just hurt his feelings and hes trying not to cry

WHAT A REALISTIC BOY!!!! he looks slightly intimidating. a show horse with lots of hard won ribbons 7/10 because he looks like he’s judging me

this is definitely what they used to fake that lochness picture 3/10 because he impersonated a cryptid at some point in his life  

simple boy. he has a shorter haircut than the others but thats okay. if you left him alone he’d probably get spooked by a cat and knock over some hay bales. 8/10 

LITTLE TUFT…..this boy has a question for you but wont press you to answer if you’re uncomfortable 7/10, he looks very trusting, i worry for him

watch out! this boy has gotten a hold of some hair dye and is determined to break from the mold! his locks are gorgeous and blonde.  10/10 woul;d feed a sugar cube in exchange for braiding his mane

Turns out, that facility wasn’t right for us either. Same situation with the first, and we moved again within 6 weeks. 

Next barn we went to was a privately owned, small barn. It was fine, but property was small, ring was small, and it just wasn’t right for us either.
