In my country (Latvia), we celebrate namedays, and today, June 6, my Ingrid (Ingrīda in Latvian) has her nameday. :)

she turned out very different from the initial idea [she was not meant to have clothes for example], but i'm very happy with the result.

What a remarkable flower lavender is - gloriously purple, with a calming scent that persists even after you dry it...though I'm a creature of the now, so I prefer rolling around in the patches I find to enjoy their present scent rather than gathering any for the future.

Sunbathing at dawn is a favorite activity of mine, particularly in the warmer months. For once, my traveling companion joined me in enjoying the morning air and dawn chorus of the birds, and captured this very fetching picture of me hunting down the perfect spot to warm my wings.

another shin megami tensei doll! rangda is one of my favorite demons, and was a lot of fun to make. didn't follow the reference 100% because i wanted to use some trinkets & beads on the skirt instead of sculpting everything from scratch.

Guillermo Del Toro is one of my favourite film directors and I was pretty excited to hear he was adapting one of my favourite gothic novels since I feel like he has a very strong sense of style and personality that would match the story.Needless to say, I really liked his take on the story, especially since it felt like he made the story his own.I've had this Neighthan Rot I was experimenting with filling in his face and adding human ears (that I got from an BTS doll) but the seams were never smooth enough and still retained a lumpy quality to. But I think his face shape matched GDT's FRankenstein well and the facial scars add to the lumpy base doll.I decided to do more of a Monster High take on his face rather than match the movie, which meant to me making the lines more graphical and that I painted his skin to be more green toned.I'm really happy to finally make a doll from Del Toro's work and having it be from one of my favourite novels to boot.
