i just saw someone describe a disabled person as "someone with beautiful abilities" i cannot do this anymore
god can we stop softening the term "disabled". disabled isn't a dirty word. it's not "special abilities" or "differently abled" or whatever the fuck you want to call it. people have disabilities that cause life to be hard and there's nothing wrong with acknowledging that?? it feels so invalidating when people are like "ohh you're not disabled!!! you have special abilities!!" like. omg a) it feels so infantilizing. b) by saying that you're basically saying our struggles aren't real...? some conditions are disabling. it's not hard to understand?? like there is NOTHING wrong with being disabled & using the word disabled. it's not offensive it's not a dirty word can we take the shame out of it pls oh my god. this goes for physical & non physical disabilities btw

being mature is so fucking boring sometimes. it would be more interesting if i could throw a tantrum. unfortunately i don't want to do that
people say folks with adhd struggle with "delayed rewards" aka long term goals and as such we tend to focus more on short term rewards. what they don't talk about is that at when we Do accomplish long term goals we don't actually feel anything proportionate to the amount of work we did to achieve it. In my head I suffered for a while and then money spontaneously appeared in my bank account.
You know what really fucking Annoys Me about internet censorship is stuff like swear words being heavily censored because that's entirely an American cultural hangup being forced on the rest of us. I don't know a single country where swearing is as taboo as it is in America. In fact most languages have swear words that would have the same effect on an American as giving a Victorian chimney sweep a pepsi max cherry.
Demonitizing Irish people's videos for having swear words in them is a kind of hate crime and psychological torture I think.
Victorian chimney sweeps would think Pepsi Max Cherry was a delightful treat, but kind of weak. Flavoured drinks were a dime a dozen in many shops, and popular with all ages, but most of these kind of drinks also had drugs in them like lithium, amphetamines, cocaine, or extreme caffeine content. Their water had lead, their candy had mercury, their air was full of coal or natural gas, and they breathed in creosote and charcoal dust for a living. These wayward kids had ample access to heroin, opiates, and cocaine (as medicines) the same as we have access to, say, a Pepsi. Hell, cough syrup could be flavoured like chocolate syrup and was a common addiction. They were tough as nails and swore like sailors. Do not besmirch their good name!
They'd also think the American propensity to censor swearing was some fucked up bullshit. The chimney sweeps would likely kick your legs out from under you for trying to clean up their speech, is what I'm saying.
the one thing i want to be able to do as a writer is make people come back to something ive written. i want that piece of text to haunt them, i want their thoughts to be briefly consumed by this. i want this to be something they remember long after its time. thats the one thing i want to do
this is exactly what i sound like talking about Every fictional relationship i'm obsessed with.

not now kitten, daddy's about to have a mental breakdown from seeing the prices at the grocery store
You know when you read something incredibly brain rotting and stupid and it goes beyond making you angry so you just think about it on a daily basis because you canβt believe how fucking stupid that take was?
