Polites Head Cannons
-Polites is 100% the caretaker of the crew. Need some advice? He is the person to go to. Need someone to just listen? He is patient and a good listener. Need company after nightmares? his door is always open. Need a moment to be vulnerable? Polites wont judge. Wounds bothering you? He knows how to help them heal/ patches them up
-Now as the Caretaker of the crew he gets lots of little gifts as thanks from a bunch of crew members he values them all and stores them in a chest. after Polites dies Odysseus desperately holds onto the chest as the crew keeps dying he treats it like treasure but its far more valuable than any gold or jewels its his last link to Polites and others who had long since died
-Polites is just really creative so he enjoys carving and music, using it as a way to relax and cope with any bad feelings or memories he may have
-Polites is Disney princess level when it comes to befriending animals. They gather around him and he loves just relaxing with them. He will eat meat but if there is plenty of other food sources he prefers not to. Birds also love to nest in his curly hair.
-Polites joined the war just to make sure Odysseus was not fighting alone. He became Odysseus light during the war
-He is amazing at archery and always has been since he was young and he enjoys it.
-He got the headband he wears from the first person he killed as a way to never forget the lives lost
-Polites is super hard to get angry but when you do manage to get him angry (messed with people he cares about) he is a force of nature, something to be feared.
-after his first battle he asked to be a medic instead so he is an on field medic.
