You were on your computer in your lab when Nash came in with a giant book in hand. You watch as the myth-buster walk over to a table to the one side, place the book on time. Nash didn’t even knowledge you, quickly going to work on the book. You stared at him as he mumbles to himself, rubbing the back of his hand and doing some button pushing on his gauntlet.

You walked over to him, poking over his shoulder, “what are you doing?”

Nash jumped, slightly bumping into you causing him to flinch a bit, “I’m going to put a bell on you, princess. Also, none of your business.” He moves away from you to grab his bag that he left on a chair.

“Why do you have a big book with you?” You were going to look at the cover when the smell of booze and cigarettes filled your nose. You turn around to see the English ex-exorcist leaning against your desk, “I was going to ask the same thing love.” John Constantine smirks at you.

Nash lets out an annoyed sigh, “how did you find me?”

“Tracking spell mate. Put one on the book. Didn’t want any git stealing it and using it.” John pushes off the desk and took a few steps forward.

“You stole a book from John?!” You yelled at Nash as he rolls his eyes. “I hope it wasn’t anything important?”

“Nah, love, it’s just the Book of Shadows. No harm can come from it.” You could hear the sarcasm dropping from John’s mouth.

With your little knowledge of the supernatural world, you had heard of the book and knew what it can do. “Nash, why do you need that book anyway? I thought you didn’t believe in the supernatural world?”

“Please (Y/N), all of that is horse shit.” He went back over to the book. He glance to you and did a double take when he realize you were staring at him. Letting out a sigh, “this witch put a curse on me and this book as the spell to break it.” You couldn’t help but face palm as John laughs.

It was late at night, you and Sherloque were doing research on the new meta. The rest of the time called it quiets for the night but due to your stubborn nature you stayed to figure it out. Not wanting you to be alone, and potentially over shadowing him with the discovery of the meta, Sherloque stayed with you.

Sitting at the main desk you were scrolling through all the news media from the day looking for anything that might help with finding the meta. A chill ran down your spine, as you let out a shiver you looked behind you. You quickly jumped up at a black figure stood in the door way.

“You alright, fleur?” Sherloque noticed your jumpy-ness.

You look to the man and when you looked back to the door way, there was nothing there, “I thought I saw something.”

“It is late at night, fleur. Your eyes will play tricks on you. Your brain will-” you glared over to the man which quickly shut him up.

“I need to stretch my legs.” You pushed yourself away from the desk getting up from your seat. Sherloque quickly agreed with you claiming the work is getting to him. The two of you strolled down the wall making your way to the lounge room to get a drink. You rubbed your neck as Sherloque was talking about something; you weren’t paying attention. As you opened your eyes, you saw the shadow on the wall moved away from you. You stopped in you track looking up to Sherloque who looked puzzled. “Did you see that too?”

“Yes.” Was all he said. Looking back to the wall, you cautiously walked forward, “fleur, it’s best of we go back to the cortex and call Allen.”

He was right. You weren’t a meta and Sherloque has no fighting skills. You both turn to head back to the cortex but standing in front of you was the tall dark figure from before. You both screamed bolting in the opposite direction.
