Night Terrors
Sam shuffled back to her room after a late night trip to the rec room. She didnât normal do that. But she needed to get some stress relief though some physical activity, and practicing with her bow and arrows was good for her. Now itâs way pass her normal bedtime and she was tired as hell. Luckily there wasnât anyone around to bother her since it was the graveyard shift.
Somehow she found herself in front of the botany on the ship. She only been here a few times, it was a sight to be hold. All the many different types of plants, some she had never seen before. Thatâs when she noticed the woman standing to her left.
"Yeah, I guess you could say that." Sam smiled back. "So what about you, why are you up so late?"
As Tonia found that she didn't recognize the voice, she tried to compose herself. Pushing thoughts of what had really kept her awake aside, Tonia attempted to look more awake.
"Just couldn't sleep. One of those nights. Besides who could when they're on a huge ship with great places to explore?"Â
Her smile brightened as she nodded towards the botany window. For her, this was the perfect view of it. Once one were to go inside it could be a bit overwhelming and hard to see the big picture.Â
"Do you come here often?,"Â
Then, as if the sleep were wearing off, she remembered her manners.
"I'm Tonia. Tonia Barrows. I don't think we've ever met before. As expected from a crew as big as ours...," her voice trailed off as she realized she needed to let the woman, who looked quite young speak. Then again, with Vulcans on board who look to be not too much older than the Captain who was to say by appearances?
