Listen, if you don't have Guillermo del Toro personally directing this then you don't understand shit or Gargoyles
No.
Neither would he.
You need a director who loves mythology, ancient history and medieval, and is Scottish. Who won’t turn it into a monster thriller or another monster fuck.
This is a Disney franchise, so it certainly won’t go the way The Shape of Water like you’re hoping and Id rather it doesn’t either.
Besides Goliath and Eliza’s relationship was 99% platonic until around their impromptu world trip. So any Gargoyle remake is gonna probably be The Awakening episodes, no romantic relationship at all and Goliath will be pinning after Demona instead.
What we should be hoping for is Grieg Weisman as its writer. Because anything they make without him will not be Gargoyles.
??????
Elisa and Goliath's slowburn romance was the entire show, in all seasons, so much so that there were several episodes of Demona being jealous
They didn't show anything because it was a Disney cartoon, but the subtext was there
Sorry you hate what was clearly in the show
Perhaps make your own post about how you hate romance and kin Macbeth
Did I say I hate it? No. I simply said the romance wasn’t there for much of the show until they went on the World Tour, then they began to really explore it. Was it intended for them to be a romantic pairing from the start, sure, but neither really acknowledged it for many episodes.
And Demona would get jealous of a fly if it landed on Goliath. She got jealous before the two were even friends. She even got jealous of the Princess. Not exactly the ideal person to use to back up your argument.
They were friends that eventually became romantic partners and for some reason people think the romance was there since day one. I dunno, must be a blind eye thing Eliza/Goliath shippers have.
Noticed a long time ago they tend to get pretty hostile to. Seems to still be true. Shame.
Why pick on poor MacBeth? Give the man a break. He’s had a shitty thousand years, okay?

Since the Third Race is vulnerable to iron, shouldn’t Earth or any planet with an iron molten core be deadly to them? I mean the magnetic field is generated by the planetary core and we know the sound of a ringing iron bell hurts them…
@emyy250
Well by what they’re saying then the Iron Bell shouldn’t have worked on Oberon. Yet it did. So does the magnetic field effect them? Wonder if someone asked that on s8.

inject themselves with iron to build up an immunity. Â Â Â Â Â Â
Erm... that’s like injecting yourself with cyanide to try and become immune to that poison. Doesn’t work like that.

What Macbeth would have looked like during Puck’s spell
Unfinished piece. Suppose to be diving at you.
What are your Gargoyle ships?
Having been a kid growing up with the show, shipping characters wasn’t a thing for me so I really don’t have any nor see any of them in that way. But if I had to pick one, I do like the dynamic between Macbeth and Demona. Would I like to see them become a couple? Not really. Maybe more as an Odd Couple, the two people who need a “Get Along Shirt”.

Goliath Chronicles isn't canon... but you get a Macbeth story like what you're asking for in the SLG comic.
Since when and why?
There’s so much I wish we could have seen more of in the series and Macbeth is near the top of the list (just, so much potential) luckily there’s a bit more of him in the comics. Plus, king Arthur makes another appearance and they have some pretty interesting interactions. But yeah, gotta love the Scotsman!
Oh yes. I wish they had used Macbeth more often than just a foe to Demona, especially in the Goliath Chronicles when he’s defending them. I would have liked to see him fight off Quarrymen while trying to help a defenseless Gargoyle.
I also think he should have played a role in Hunter’s Moon since the Hunter was essential in his existence anyway and the Canmores ended his reign and murdered his family. After 900 years of hunting Demona, one would think they would have made the connection to Macbeth.
Also would have loved to see more adventures of Griff and Arthur but they weren’t essential to the Manhattan Clan’s stories, so I understand why they weren’t used after the Avalon/Gathering arcs.
Thoughts on Macbeth x Goliath? The more I ponder on it the more I love the idea.
Eh, I can see them more as friends and battle buddies than anything else.

Prompt - Self-Defense
“How’d yeh expect ta be High Steward of Moray if yeh cannae hold ah sword, laddie,” Findlaech of Moray chastised a young, fiery haired lad of no older than fifteen. The boy lifted the blunted weapon off the ground and resumed a defensive stance in front of his father.
“Sorry, Father,” the boy apologized, eyes cast down.
“Look up, I’m nae down on the ground yet, Macbeth.”
He raised his gaze up again and with a scowl and firm purse of his lips, the young boy, Macbeth, charged his father. Findlaech stepped back and to the side, letting his son charge past. To add further injury to the boy’s pride, he swatted him in the rear with the broadside of his sword, sending him stumbling forward.
“Yeh think this be a joustin’ match?”
“I’m no good at this, Father.”
“Course yeh aren’t,” Findlaech lowered his weapon and gave his son a reproachful look. “Yer just startin’. Now if yer done bein’ all-knowin’, hold yer blade like so.” He then instructed his son on his first lessons.
