As a side note, those judging the case have already said that the killerâs identity will have no bearing on the verdict. Itâs almost like people donât have special legal privileges based on gender identity, like TERFs claim. Fancy that!

TERFs buying the whole âthe killer is nonbinaryâ obvious legal ploy that the right wing media has been fawning over hook line and sinker is just very. Hm. The lack of critical thinking skills really jumped out.
But itâs no surprise that TERFs are playing Useful Idiot for the right wing yet again. Itâs just another day ending in y.

trans rights and gay rights are inseparable, trans safety and gay safety are irrevocably intertwined.
Have a mostly painless Trans Day of Rememberance
just wanted to send some support your way as an ex radfem too. I don't wanna come off anon, I hope you don't mind, simply because I don't want to be harassed. I still believe in womens liberation, but also liberation for all genders - including the ones terfs are obsessing over. I got sucked into that pseudo-cult during a very hard time of my life and found the main radfem blogs only ever argued with trans people. it felt like a waste of time but I couldn't escape. I struggle with my own gender identity and I have to admit, terfs made it worse. I believe in some aspects of radical feminism, but im slowly deprogamming myself of the anti trans perspective. terfs conveniently forget that they were essentially kicked out of second wave feminism because of their anti trans views. im a feminist, just not a gender essentialist transphobe.
Thank you for sharing your experience, anon. There are similarities between your story and my own; there are some aspects of radical feminism I still agree with, as well as some that I don't fully agree with but think are worth exploring. Transphobia is not one of those.
I hope that you find peace in yourself and your identity. This is easier said than done, but never let anyone pressure you to be something that you are not or limit your self-exploration. Society invented the rules of gender, and you have every right to decide which ones you bend or break, regardless of how any singular ideology feels about it.

The argument I've heard radfems use to justify working with conservative men is that those guys at least admit their sexism and express it through old-school chivalry instead of through postmodern claptrap like sex positivity and queer theory
Obviously, leftists are not immune to cultivating sexist beliefs. Trans rights advocates are not immune to it, but only in the same sense that radical feminists are not immune to it. There are people on the left who believe that, by virtue of being on the left, they cannot possibly unintentionally uphold systems of oppression. (Though I would argue that leftists, more than any other political "side", are the most diligent about examining how they operate in the world and the biases they may be playing into.)
To any reasonable individual, it should be evident that the solution to misogyny on the left is not to ally with conservatives who know that they're misogynistic but also think that misogyny is a good thing.
And yet.
(Side note, this was added onto with the mutual understanding that sex positivity and queer theory are not inherently sexist, but the belief that they are is a common radfem talking point.)
Sorry to break it to radical feminists who spend the bulk of their activist energy raging against trans people, but most of the transphobic rhetoric youâve been taught âin the name of womenâs liberationâ is pushed and funded by right-wing groups. They are purposefully weaponizing you to turn against trans people while openly yanking away abortion rights and same-sex relationship protections right from under you.
Trans people are not your enemy. We do not want to uphold gender conformity, suppress your sexual orientation, strip away the freedoms of women, or any of the primary problems your feminism seeks (or should seek) to abolish. You know who wants to uphold those things? The conservative transphobes who will happily shake your hand and use you as a mouthpiece while pushing their own policies of gender conformity, misogyny, and homophobia, which hurt all of us.
If you want to liberate women and gay people, then making life harder for trans people is a losing battle. You cannot do both. You will end up unintentionally uplifting groups that want you pregnant and barefoot in the kitchen. You will end up helping fascism.

âIf trans men are doing so well in menâs sports, why donât we hear about it as much as we hear about trans women doing well in womenâs sports??â
Ah yes, what ulterior motive could the perpetual outrage machine of mainstream news possibly have for ignoring the accomplishments of trans men over other men while overamplifying the accomplishments of trans women over other women...hmm itâs a mystery...

When I say âhey, maybe trans girls who transition at a young age donât necessarily receive male socialization as we commonly define it,â why is it that some terfs assume the conversation starts and ends at Jazz Jennings?
Of course being a public figure will affect your upbringing, and yes, she probably has certain privileges due to her celebrity status (and there are probably also plenty of downsides that also come with being a young trans person under the lens of public scrutiny). But most trans kids donât have their transitions hyper-publicized. Most of them are just raised as normal kids.
your âi used to be gender critical postâ is confusing, why would you give up critical thought, regardless of what itâs aboutâŚmajor L
âGender criticalâ is what the ideology is called, hon. I am no longer inclined to believe that it is, as it claims, particularly critical about gender. I donât take the names of ideologies at face value.
Does the pro-life ideology actually prioritize life? No, theyâve demonstrated quite the opposite, in spite of their name.
Is race realism actually realistic about race? Are people who donât agree with it âgiving up realistic thoughtâ? Hell no!! Itâs just branding to try and market poorly veiled white supremacy.
Get that flag out of your avatar. You're not homosexual if you're a transhet my dear đľ
My partner is another transmasc person? I'm exclusively T4T? By both your silly wrong definition and my based-as-hell correct one, I am a flaming homosexual.
Remember when Radical Feminists said that obscuring language when it comes to women's health care & abortion would help in the destruction of women's health care & abortion.
If you frame abortion as a "people" issue instead of a woman's issue you can't get mad when men have a say in abortion.
Then this shit happened...
Fucking clowns and idiots. You gender shits are not seeing heaven.
@menalez @ms-hells-bells @ms-gay-frogs can u help boost this
Hmm. Is this the fault of the alt right fascists, who notoriously want trans people eradicated and are disingenuously coopting pro-trans language with deliberate misinterpretations so that they can further their agenda under layers of sarcasm while, of course, continuing to hate trans people and not actually believing that trans men are men?
No...itâs the trans agenda that did this! /s
Meanwhile, if I had a nickel for every time a right-winger coopted radfem talking points to dunk on trans rights while still, big shocker, being massive misogynists who actively want to enforce trad gender roles + heteronormativity because they donât actually care about radfems...
Iâm just saying, no leftist rhetoric is immune to this kind of behavior from the right. They will use whatever talking points they can get their grubby hands on. There is nothing special about trans-inclusive language in this regard. Hell, in various recent protests Iâve heard conservative counter-protestors try to turn âBlack Lives Matterâ back on us because âx number of Black babies are aborted every year.â That isnât BLMâs fault, and these clowns donât care about Black lives. Nor do they care about trans rights. None of us want this lmao.

So. Gender critical people really donât like it when you say that you used to be one of them.
I wonât be directly responding to anymore gendercrits on that post. I donât have anything to prove to them, and trying to pick from the several responses Iâve gotten to find the ones worth my time is a waste of spoons. Instead, I will condense some points here and be done with it.
I do love people telling me that I canât possibly have been gendercrit at any time in the past because I âdonât understandâ their arguments. They really canât find peace with the fact that I understood their arguments just fine, found a new perspective from which to look at them, and have grown to disagree with them. They canât imagine someone properly understanding their worldview and still disagreeing with it.
They canât imagine someone simply thinking, no, your conclusions are wrong. The genital shape that a person exhibits at birth provides no permanent determination about who they will be (ie a man or a woman). Yes, gender is learned, and therefore it can be changed. Upholding biological gender in any sense is playing the game by the oppressorâs terms.
Or they say that I canât ever have been gendercrit because I donât talk about sexism enough; I talk about trans people and gendercrits too much. Except I also apparently donât talk about gendercrits enough? Cool cool.
Nevermind what Iâve posted about abortion rights. Nevermind that Iâve been rallying in the streets about it since the SCOTUS draft decision was first leaked. Hell, Iâve been rallying even harder now that the decision has gone through; I am unfortunate enough to live in a state with a trigger ban on abortion. And nevermind that I actually agree with quite a bit of radical feminism, and that the reason I mainly argue on the point of trans people and what it means to be [insert gender here] is specifically because those are some of the key points I disagree with.
Finally, @ the ones who have asked me for my old Tumblr url: Iâm so sorry that you think that âTERF circlesâ start and end on Tumblr. Touch grass, make a picket sign, go to a protest, and go fucking vote.
Before anyone asks: yes, I used to identify as gender critical and hang out in TERF circles. So please believe me when I say that I have thoroughly exhausted gender critical arguments, and I have found them both practically harmful and logically unsatisfactory.
could you explain how?
Iâm not sure what you mean? I canât critique every single gender critical argument that Iâve come across in the space of one response.
But it is kind of what this blog is about, so if youâre curious, youâre really better off looking through my post history and asking about specific gender critical arguments if you have further questions.
what is harmful and illogical about the statement that gender is an oppressive social construct?
âYouâre better off looking through my post historyâ
Literally where ? I searched gender critical and terf tags but the only thing that came up was this post. There is absolutely nothing critiquing gender, let alone from a radfem point of view.
âBefore anyone asksâ no one asked. No one suspected you. And no one suspected you because you donât hang out in âTERFâ circles whatsoever. Congratulations youâre a Purebred gender haver đđž
Instead of relying on tags I how about you actually look at the first page of my blog? Just the first one. I just posted a long form critique of gender crits today but go off.
And I used to hang out in TERF circles, lmao. Obviously not anymore. Why is it so hard to believe that someone can change their opinions?
