                    ❝  —  NOT really what you’d call ‘good’ at ignoring issues. Well, to most people I might seem good at ignoring them, but in reality I just.. tend to hyperfocus on an issue until it’s solved.

             ❝  ― FINE. Then let me kill it for you. What’s on your mind?

                    ❝ And what if the monster isn’t that easy to kill? What if it’s more of a metaphorical monster, not a physical one? ❞

             ❝  ― YOU kill it in your head. Never visit it again. You ignore whatever it is that’s causing you issues if you can’t get rid of it the usual way.

“Oh, my other selves wouldn’t threaten your siblings. They’ve got standards and I know better than to do it. Don’t have any reason to either. If they ever tried, your siblings would absolutely be welcome with us. To take back home or travel.”

             ❝  ― UNFORTUNATELY we aren’t going to be their style. I don’t want to expose them to this side of me. I already had to admit what I was thanks to one of the other Doctor’s, but they don’t need to actually see it. 

“It isn’t even that he can’t be killed, it’s just that he always ends up coming back. I’ve seen the footage. Cut his head off, stab him, blow him up - he never stays down completely. Better not to pick a fight with him and let him come to us. Otherwise if it’s one who still has his team, they can be used as leverage.”

             ❝  ― SEE that just sounds fun to me. Not to him, mind you. But certainly fun for me. Fine. I won’t antagonize him. THIS is why I didn’t want anyone learning about my siblings though, because the same could be said of me for them.

“Well alright, lets go down the list of potentials, then. Martha’s with UNIT now, so that’s military. Mickey freelances with them. Jack’s… well, I suppose he could count as a threat. Immortal. Usually armed. But also could be talked around, I think. And I wouldn’t expect him to come hunting me down.”

             ❝  ― YOU and I can handle governments fine. I worked for the most dull, unoriginal bureaucracy known to the human race: I think I can handle just a single person in a government, as long as they don’t draw too much attention. Freelance is PRACTICALLY what I do, so unless he’s any kind of special, then that answers that. Jack though. That sounds fun.

“I’m not worried about them either, Five. I haven’t seen River in ages, I don’t think Jenny would hurt me. And pretty much everyone else you’re more than a match for. Most of me aren’t picking up combat professionals to travel the stars with them. Rory does have a sword, though, assuming he can get past his Doctor.”

             ❝  ― ARE you kidding me? Considering the situations you get into, you never thought about picking someone up who can ACTUALLY keep you defended should it start getting shooty? Personally I hope Rainbow gets involved. I want to kick her ass again.

“No. The other me isn’t too much to deal with, I can handle him. Nothing will really change. I promise.”

             ❝  ― YOU think I care about the other versions of you? I could kick all of your asses, easy. I’m talking about some of the other people you know, Doc. Or rather, anyone who decides they’re more protective of that one idiot over you.

“I had a bad night. Decided ‘what the hell?’ and it got a little out of hand.”

              ❝  ― YEAH, Doc. I think I noticed that. Well, really it took Vanya and Ben pointing it out but still- you didn’t answer my question. Should I be worried?
